Getting enough end crystals to kill the dragon would be very hard to do, because you need ghast tears (very rare and slow to farm) glass, which requires smelting sand (which is slow) and eye of enders, and once you have eye of enders you want to be heading to the stronghold. You would need several extra blaze rods and pearls. I don't even know if you can one cycle the dragon with crystals, but it would only save at most like 2 seconds in 1.9+, and you can't craft end crystals in 1.7, so this strategy is pointless.

Some kid submitted a run where he said "I found a loophole in the rules!!!11!!1!1!!" And the loophole was the rules didn't say you aren't allowed to start the run at the end of the game.

Thing is, the rules specifically say that the timing starts when you spawn in, meaning his "loophole" wasn't even valid. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​

It's probably game specific, maybe powering off the console has a weird effect on the game? You should probably ask the mod about the rule, not us.

@Garsh there are some actually good ones, like mc icarus, custom maps like the heist and herobrine's return, TinLC, and more. I don't agree that almost all of them are bad. But about half of them are servers, very short/trivial maps, or maps without a proper ending that aren't even unique. It really is a mess.
