Is it possible to do solo? Probably. It's just purely down to timing opening the door. As for how much time you have, we still don't even know. We just wing it for most of it, just judging when to open the door based on the voice lines. It's likely you can do it during the first days, it's just when you have to do it is entirely based around the voice line. Some can delay it, some can make it come sooner.

When you play from a completed file that already has all the guns. Before we do runs we go and delete the save from all our computers so we have none of the guns

You mean the timer? If you want a timer you can find some on http://www.speedrunslive.com/tools As for routes, there isn't one written up yet. I may end up writing one myself soon

If I advance another frame then it saves correctly. If I reboot any frames earlier than that then it doesn't save so my only guess is you can't do it on emulator.

Hello folks So I've spent the better part of the last year debating on running this game and got bored and decided to look into the save corruption thing. Found the old SDA thread about it, saw that people were only able to do it on console and decided to try and do it on emulator. The post on SDA mentioned that the OP was unable to do it on Mupen due to how fast it saved so I tried Bizhawk and sure enough using frame by frame to try and reset the "system" at different frames, I was able to corrupt the save and got this: http://puu.sh/pvOe4/a39aad6d8d.png. Unfortunately, trying to load it just results in the game telling me the Controller Pak is damaged so I'm unable to test to see if it can do anything or if this save even has anything.

So you might be wondering, why am I posting here then? Well I'm here with the save file itself for those more knowledgeable about N64 emulation to take a look at it and see if there's anything to be done with it. Be it converting the save or fixing it or whatever.

Hello friends. So now that Ty is out on Steam there's interest in timing out loads to keep it fair between the platforms and so I need some help when it comes to gather info on the load times. I have a GC and PS2 copy of Ty 1, no Xbox copy and I only have a Wii and PS2. My PS3 is a model 2 fat one which can't play PS2 discs so I'm here asking for some help from you guys. I need some videos of loads in the game using various versions. Here is the list of loads I need:

GameCube on GameCube PS2 on PS2 Phat PS2 on PS2 Slim PS2 on PS3 Xbox on Xbox Xbox on Xbox 360

I can get emulator times myself. What I need is for someone to go through a few load screens for give or take 5 minutes. So for example just load your file and go into a level then back out of the level then enter it again. The videos will help me get an understanding of the load times. It'll also help me figure out how long they are based on the version and console it's being played on.

You can drop a link to the videos in here as it's nothing really important that you need to hide from everyone. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure if there's a way to watch the forum for a game so I'm not notified of posts or anything. So let me get this straight, you would like to have the current any% category be re-named to All Dungeons to make sure the runs keep using all 4 weeks but also include a new category that's just for week 4? If so, that can be done easily.

I will go ahead and add it but I was unable to get EG myself. The "no EG" comes from the old leaderboard. If you can find a way to get EG and do a run then be my guest. I'd love to see how you get EG since I was unable to do it

Well I'm asking people because a good mod would get runner's opinions before changing. I've seen too many people get upset about changes that were not mentioned to them. So I'm just bringing it up and seeing what others think

Back in the early days we used to think that the GameCube loaded the fastest and that was mainly due to the fact that no one in the community at the time had an Xbox and so no one could time the loads. But now with the Xbox having the fastest loads, it kinda makes it pro single console. So I was wondering, maybe we should remove loads from runs. This would allow anyone to run on the platform they want, console or emulator and still be able to compare against each other.

Post your thoughts here, I'd like to hear them.

There used to be a Skype group however it kinda died a long time ago. I just tried to search for it on my Skype and the last message in it is so old that Skype won't let me find it. For the most part people just idle in #Ty on the SRL IRC.

So it seems that the graphics settings you use may have an affect on your jumps. Yoshipro101 has messed with it a bit and I'm sure he has some info to share but it appears that the graphic settings do play a role outside of making it look good/bad.

The Landmaster must be against one of the corner spots and be as close to it as possible. Then you want to run at the corner and the Landmaster while holding a bit more to the right (assuming the barrier is to the right of you). Doing this will push you through. There is also an enemy in the background you can line your Landmaster up with.
