Wow lol I was right and by the way to write "_this_" I actually wrote "\_this\_"
In python backslashes don't get printed; they display the next character instead of using its superpower (underscores do the same thing as asteriks see _this_ yields this hopefully my theory was right otherwise this... didn't work) so ig SRC does the same thing as python so the backslash doesn't show up but it does make the underscore not trigger italic
