For the sake of transparency of what I'm doing with loadless times, I will continue to download future runs, and then video edit all of the loading out to provide a proper loadless final time.

This is the only way to put PS2 fats, slims, PAL, JP, HDL, OPL and PS3 players all on the fairest comparison possible and thankfully doesn't change what is optimal in gameplay at all.

The loading mostly consists of the "blue letters" screens that are obviously loading screens, but also all frames that are on a black screen.

Loading screens are being edited out as such - cut from the last frame just prior to the screen turning black to the first frame in which a fade-in occurs.

When you submit a run you do NOT need to worry about filling this in, just leave it at 0:00:00 and it will be left blank, I will get to it when I can.

Well, for speedrun purposes, around 29 seconds are automatically saved at the start of the run due to the opening being presented as an FMV rather than a slideshow of images that you have to skip individually.

Much like 505 GameStreet's other English localizations of Simple series games, Demolition Girl felt like the cheapest possible way to bring a budget game over to an English-speaking audience.

For reasons that we may never know, other changes included most of the Japanese voice acting being cut and replaced with text telling the player what to do, the ending FMV being presented as a slideshow as well, and the alien in "Farewell Giant Girl" appearing way smaller than it is in the Japanese version, though its hitbox remains the same.

Aside from these differences, both versions are nearly identical to each other.

Been playing this game on PS2 and emulator just as much as each other since on the latter, it’s well optimised for decent rigs such as mine. But when playing it on PCSX2, I’ve noticed that certain parts/scenarios will run smooth like butter, while they’ll slow down when running it on PS2, whether it be because there’s too much stuff on the screen or it just happens for no apparent reason.

It’s like the slowdown this game will often display sometimes seems to exist nowhere else besides when playing it on real hardware.

Granted, I have been learning the ins and outs of this game mainly for fun, but I’m a little bit concerned that this might create some sort of unfair advantage over real hardware.

Well, both seasons and other Telltale games have been delisted from digital storefronts due to the death of the studio and expired licenses. And in addition to that, the servers will shut down on the 25th of June leaving the downloadable episodes unavailable even for those who have purchased the games.

So unless anyone feels like preserving this series (which I’m sure that someone will regardless), I’m afraid to say that it doesn’t seem like we have anywhere to go from here. :(

So I suppose for each episode and full-game runs, we could start time as normal (Starting on when we click "Start Episode X" or restarting), but rather than end time on clicking "Continue" at the credits like we decided in Season One, we split when the text "Episode X: [Insert Name]" fades in.

But since the final episode, Above and Beyond doesn't have the whole "Episode X: [Insert Name]" thing at the end, we could just end time on when the screen fades to black after the last choice we make, whether it be we stay in Beacontown or hit the road with Petra.

Sounds reasonable?

17 days (as of the time I'm typing this) and the runs that I've submitted of this game have not been verified.

Obviously, I know the mods have lives and all, but I didn't expect my runs to be left hanging like this. XD
