I'm not sure if this is new information or if people know this already, but anyway. There's a way to get to the act 2 room with the bucket from the first floor and the second floor.

@SpartanKryze i found this death trick, theres only few levels where this works: Arctic Ocean, Baby Corp, Galactic Sky. In those levels theres death spots that spawn you farther in the level. It also works in other levels, but in those levels its slower than playing normally. You can check my IL speedruns if you wanna see all the fast death trick's.

The only trick in this game is holding R2 before a character can shoot a gun, and that makes the first shot miss even if it should hit. The only time that trick doesnt work is if you shoot dylans arm off in the radio shack. I might be wrong, but i think thats the only time youre unable to miss a shot.

There are other small glitches, but theyre mostly visual glitches that dont save time. I could share some of the glitches, but it would take a lot of time to record. Im probably going to do it anyways just for fun.

The problem right now is that runs can easily be faked because there's no real difference between a private and a public lobby. If you go to a private lobby, it shows "map select" and "invite," which aren't shown in a public lobby; however, if you press "ready up," it hides those options of choosing a map and inviting.

So a new rule will be implemented. I'm not a moderator, just a verifier. Therefore, I don't make the rules. But right now, I would recommend being unready in a public match for at least a few seconds. In order to prove you're being in a public lobby.

The reason why that rule exists Is to prevent people from cheating by using a private lobby. I also did some research after thinking about this rule and noticed a problem. The rule needs to be stricter, so in the future, a new rule is going to be implemented.

Lobbies are still needed for the recording, but there's one new thing everyone needs to show in the future.

I found a glitch for the new update.

It requires two playthroughs, so it may not be allowed in runs unless the moderators allow it.

I also misspelled "go through the door." So ignore that.

That's what I was thinking too; I did every glitchless category quickly just in case the old version runs got locked/archived.

Now that you mentioned it, I could understand and agree with that getting changed, but I'm fine with every option.

I have a theory, i watched other peoples runs and i noticed that runs with

-720p had an 5 second time difference in RTA vs. LRT (haroldramis69420 & germthefool)

-1080p/1440p had an 1 second time difference in LRT vs. RTA (cookiemonster & cinderbindee)

-4k had an 0.500ms time difference in LRT vs. RTA (me)

Im guessing it has something to do with the recording/quality, but i know very little about how lrt works, so if someone else knows how this stuff works, then please explain why the difference is like this.

It could also be a version difference, like ps4 version on ps5 or ps5 version.

@cookiemonster I could try to guess, but honestly, I have no idea. I play on a PS5, and that's all I can really say. I do use the "Adjust Display Area" setting, and I made the screen as small as possible, but that should only affect fps and not load times.

When i ran the (All Series) category, i noticed that 4 of the serieses were locked and i had played all the previous serieses already. Those 4 locked serieses were:

(Fox Shocks Series) (Fast 50s Series) (Maxxis Series) and (Bell Helmets Series)

im wondering "how can i unlock them" and im guessing it has something to do with the X-cross tournament, but i would like to know how to unlock these serieses.

There could also be a category where you only have to play the ten serieses, instead of all fourteen, it could be called (71% Series) because 100%/14 serieses = 71%

You'll also save a little time if you play without a profile because the game loads less, I think it takes too long to play an x-cross tournament to unlock the 4 serieses and do all the serieses without a profile, so I think the category makes sense, but it's the moderators' choice and the 4 locked serieses may not have anything to do with the x-cross tournament in the first play.

i wouldnt recommend using the 1.00 version of the game for speedruns. Mostly because of 2 extra scenes. the first extra scene is like a 10-20 second timeloss, it happens after Laura turns off the switch in chapter 9 and she runs past Travis and he starts speaking which normally in 1.05 isnt there.

the next timeloss is about 1-2 minutes in chapter 9: (i made a video comparing the 2 versions)

This is the main reason why not to use version 1.00 (there are some timesaves in 1.00, but i doubt its overall faster) so the 7.7 timesave for (Rough Night) isnt possible for console atleast, not sure how pc works.

(the dylan part has nothing to do with different versions, but its a faster route ive found)

sweetbro i submitted an (survivor vs bot) leos memory and i think it shouldnt get accepted.

i did a trick that made me spawn late and my bot teammates started decoding already, before i was even spawned.

Thats a decent category idea, but what should the rules be? geisha, wu chang, feaster, BQ, Nightmare are the hunters you can choose to go againts, so would every hunter get a seperate category or could it be 1 category and the players could just choose which one to go againts. or would it be a rule that you have to choose a specific hunter.

ive thought of a similar idea.

i think it would be cool if chase times would get a category in nightmare mode, it would be a 1v1 and the objective is to get the longest kite possible and you would need to show the data after the match and (contained hunter (secs)). it would also be the time of the run.

obviously some rules should be made like:

-glitching the hunter is not allowed -only use base game survivors not survivors unlocked by (CLUES) -must show custom mode lobby and nightmare difficulty -must show data and (contained hunter (secs))

I also did a ps5 run. just choose ps4, it doesnt matter, the load times shouldn't be included in the time anyway.

I think this would be a fun category. I dont think anyone would run it except me, but it would be fun.

Ps3 version is fastest, but im not sure if its possible to buy it on ps3 anymore, i tried finding it on english/japanese playstation store on ps3 and i didnt find it, it was probably a psnow game back in the day.

The second fastest is ps2 japanese, but remember that you need to have a japanese ps2 or a moded one in order to play it.

Then the slowest are ps4/ps5, they could get their own category in my opinion, because theyre way slower. And you cant switch gadgets without going to the menu. (If you choose ps4/ps5 i recommend making youre MTU 600 so it moves a bit faster.
