Since SRC added multiplayer ILs, we're finally gonna be moving all the minigame ILs back to the Level Leaderboard section. That is all. Also if you see random people get added as mods they're just temporary mods that are helping me move runs to the Level Leaderboard, don't panic, they're people I trust.

I suppose the only thing left to say is I apologize to everyone's SRC notifications.

With 4 runs with a video, All Secret Targets is now a subcategory under the new "Archery" category in Misc.

@Lugia2468 and @grodney2000 after some discussion we decided we won't be adding these categories. All Sports - doesn't seem like it has any real value or optimization that could happen. And we decided Perfect Bowling speedrun would be stale and devaluing as it'd simply be who can do the fastest setup 12 times, and would not offer much competition because of that and many people can't get perfect in the first place. (Also Manual and Automatic separation most likely won't happen :P)

@Lobzer We decided that we'll add this category if we can acquire 3 runs with video, as this category has been requested multiple times throughout the years. Cmdr already has one (), There's been talk of Simrax having one, so if he posts that in the Discord too, we only need one more person.

In the Wii Series Speedrunning Discord we had a discussion and agreed to add a new category to the IL section, Superstar Class (Level 2000). We did this as we agreed some sports are almost impossible to reach max level in one session, like Golf, Wakeboarding, Frisbee Dog, etc., and getting only 2000 is a much easier task. We do recognize however that some people may try for Level 2500 in sports like Golf, so we'll still be keeping the category. I filled in some runs for Superstar Class by submitting parts of Level 2500 runs.

Btw if I submitted your Level 2500 run as a Superstar Class and you want me to take it down, no problem, just @ me on discord.

Eh, just my two cents. I don't really care if it's added or not.

I personally don't see the point. All Sports No Baseball is a category because it eliminates the pure rng segment from the All Sports run, and makes it all about skill and execution. The rest of the sports have no rng, besides wind speed/direction, so I don't see the point. It wouldn't even be competitive either, people would just submit their All Sports pb and exclude Boxing from the time.

Yeah, only 1 controller is allowed.

We're not currently looking for new mods as of right now, as run submissions aren't as frequent and get verified quickly for the most part, so we don't really need more mods at the moment.

Hello, everyone. I'm GamingLand, a new mod of Wii Party U. Over the past couple weeks, we in the main Wii Series community have been talking with TehWhack (He ultimately decided to add me to the mod team) and have made some major changes to the leaderboard. I'm making this forum post for the runners not involved in the Wii Series Speedrunning Discord and may be confused as to what all the changes have been for.

Here is the laundry list of changes made to the Leaderboard so far:

-Split up "TV Party" and made them into their own individual categories. (Highway Rollers, GamePad Island, Mii Fashion Plaza, The Balldozer and Team Building) -Added GamePad Island as a TV Party game. Has Multiple Players and Multiple Controllers 1 Player as sub-categories as well. -New GamePad Party categories, All Competitive/Co-op Tabletop Minigames. -All Play Minigames is now a category to accompany 1 vs. Rivals Minigames. -Demolition Row subcategories, 25 Levels and 50 Levels added. This is to make this category more accessible and easier to speedrun. -Bridge Burners is now a category. -Dojo Domination has now been made into one category, with subcategories for All Difficulties, Advanced, Standard and Beginner difficulties. -Tabletop Tournament is now a category, with subcategories for each mode, Single Elimination and Round Robin. -Categories are now in order of how they appear in game (For example, TV Party games appear first, GamePad Party appears after TV Party games, etc. -Various rule changes/rewrites.

Special thanks to @TehWhack for adding me as a moderator and allowing me to make these changes, and @CedrikLPle for ideas and rule fixes. These changes have already been making impact on the amount of active runners of the game and I hope it continues in the future. Happy speedrunning!

Me and a few of my friends tried to get the fastest time we could in the new 4v4 mode, and the best we got after an hour or two was 0:56, here's the video If this could be added to the boards I'd really appreciate it!

It's not that the game is dead, it's that the top runners aren't playing anymore. The top runners are the first thing you see on the leaderboard, so when you look at the dates you see barely any top players have gotten pb's recently. New runners are coming in in a lot of categories, and like Yoshi said, mostly WSR.

Most people also use the discord to ask questions/talk instead of the forums, so that's why there isn't a lot of activity here.
