it is in the queue but a lot of CE runs take longer to verify because of the requirements - like checking every talkatoo moon, that no captures are used in low% or no damage has been taken.

Hi, especially for faster runs its important that moon count, coin count, moon dates and story moon dates are visible. for future submissions set up the camera such that its pointing at the switch more directly and at less of an angle and have the camera closer to the switch. if you have any other questions i'd recommend asking in the discord as you'd be likely to get a faster response

it honestly depends on what kinda time you want and how much time you wanna spend on this game.

if you just wanna get a sub 1:20 and be done then sure you can just do runs, but if you wanna take it further then you absolutely want to practice IL's

datapacks can modify game behaviour and are not needed in any capacity for minecraft speedrunning

why would you use those versions though? there's a reason people use 1.16.1

there are 986 runs in the queue atm, the oldest dating back almost a full year with the oldest RSG runs dating back 3 months.

this is very common for minecraft java edition to the point where SRC staff have had to intervene a few times.

We had IL leaderboards and they were removed because no one used them. even when this game was at its peak of activity, the IL leaderboards did not reflect actual IL records set in runs due to the annoyance of properly timing them, highlighting the relevant part of the VoD and submitting them - let alone verifying them.

Most people would submit cap, maybe cascade and sand but nothing else really.

However, IL's are still a great way to practice and i'd recommend doing them.

Any% is the most popular category and almost no one runs 2p Any% - with even fewer running the other categories.

But if you do wanna run them you don't technically need a leaderboard. If enough interest is shown there is a chance they get re-added but i wouldn't count on it

the queue is currently over 400 runs long with some runs dating all the way back to January this year. it nearly hit 2,000 runs earlier this year so unfortunately you are just gonna have to wait. its part of why i stopped running this game - having to wait months to get verified took away my motivation

how are you planning on using a website? you can't use /seed and most of those websites operate on knowledge of the seed

As a casual / for fun run? sure why not.

As a speedrun? just a bad idea. you're not gonna finish it because some advancemants are very hard to do without knowledge of a setup and could take tens of hours in of themselves - nevermind keeping track of stuff like all biomes, eating all foods and breeding all animals along with getting a conduit, god apple

I'd highly recommend starting with random seed glitchless (RSG) 1.16.1 to start building up the game knowledge to do some of the slightly longer categories

@HRM_Speedruns optifine is disallowed as it can get rid of nether fog and do other disallowed things.
