While some planes are great for certain areas, I would like to try others. Is this even possible?
What does this error even mean and why is this relevant to speedrun.com?
Those large hives are incredibly vulnerable to mines which is strange. Makes for one extremely short mission and helps with the final mission.
Made a 2 Player TAS for this game. You can read the notes on the link below. https://tasvideos.org/8426S
For those not aware. You can do it off the floor and wall too. Use the grapple and then just as your sprite changes to having the arm up press the direction you want to move fast in and then press jump. Tricky to do but you can get some great distance doing it.
Taking a look through Qainet 's run, and not understanding the tricks being used here. https://www.speedrun.com/bloody_spell_/run/zq0edv5y
- He jump up the sheer cliff wall here. How?
- How does he go through the ceiling?
- He suddenly goes to the top of the ladder using the sister. How is that done?
Thank you.
Revenge of Shinobi - Airship Air Walk Was done using a controller. Basically the same trick as the OOB skip in the final level. Press Jump on the same frame as landing, then jump again after moving to the side while still in the air. Should be an improvement to RTA. posting here since it will probably get lost in Discord eventually.
Allows you to lure out and isolate Candy, the biker chick with too much armor, in the final level. Makes the part on higher difficulties quite a bit easier.
So basically the Air Walk glitch is possible with normal controller inputs. I had the idea in my head so went and tried it and found it worked. So turns out the way that Air Walk glitch actually works is that when you are a frame before landing you have the character perform a double jump. This is highly restrictive timing, and in the TAS I was forcing a double jump with UDLRB right before landing to do the Air Walk. However, if you happen to find a platform above you at just the right height you can do an Air Walk with a controller.
- Get below a platform. Use Jump Ninjitsu if necessary, although BaconOmelette in the below post mentions how he cannot get it working with Jump Ninjitsu and finds it easier with no Jump Ninjitsu. Which would ultimately be faster so that is good.
- Hold Right and Jump such that the double jump height will be about the same height as the platform.
- Jump to do the Air Walk.
- For the OOB to work you have to then hold Down. 5)When near the ceiling release Down so the ninja will be in the ceiling.
- Press jump. This will have you jump again since you are in the Air Walk state.
- Keep holding right since the game will be pushing you left since you are in the ceiling. 8 ) If you released Down and got enough height you should be in the ceiling.
Video. No weird opposite directionals like in the TAS.

I lurk in the shinobi discord if anyone has any questions.
Hello, I am a fan of FTL and am interested in finding what would be the fastest possible route for the starting ship the Kestral A. It definitely seems like the beam weapons + hacking are the way to go on the final boss. However what would be the best RNG events / fights you could possibly get throughout the run and still be able to kill the Last boss?
Hello, have been playing with Blaze on Normal, but finding a couple parts really difficult. Abedede seems to have some strat where you jump into him and then you can grab and throw him...but there is something I am not understanding. I always end up smacked away or grabbed, or run punched. Could someone explain how to fight him with Blaze? Also does anyone understand how that Zamza ninja boss even works? Having a hard time jump kicking him. I tried to do the jump-grab-throw-repeat tech, but was not having luck with that either. Any help would be appreciated.
Any links to speedrun explanations for Blaze?
Cannot view Souless_gouki's run. I have flash enabled and I know it works, however it runs nothing. Could someone link me a version of that run that I can watch? Like something on niconico or youtube?
Also the guide does not work. Is there an updated link for that as well?
Hello I am trying to work out strategies and mechanics for TM2 for a TAS. I am not extremely familiar with the game so any advice to create an optimal run per level would be amazing. I can basically "select" randomness by playing differently so any best experiences you have I should be able to beat, since I control the game frame by frame.
Here is a WIP. Please tell me anything I have missed or should get to make the overall run faster.
If you have locations of remotes and other weapons I should get or be using don't hesitate to tell me. I would hate to create a run, and then have speedrunners of the game lambast it for missing basic pickups, features, or strategies.
Using save states to practice speedruns vastly reduces the time to create quality speedruns. I go into detail on why and how it is done in this video. Any feedback would be appreciated to improve it or to make followup videos.
