Yeah, if you can pick up items in the openworld while completing the game it might be a good idea to pick them up. I would just recommend not to if you need to backtrack to that point for other items later on once you unlocked the right character to get to it.

Yeah, not going to touch it before both games have a 100% route, I know that route and it is not longer then 12 hour each game.

If both games can be 100% in sub 12 hours I will probably do a 1-7 100% as well :P

The score ones are not a main focus till you are going to go for Freeplay 100% since you will just lose time buying them in the shop and it does not matter if you get True Wizard in the Story Mode or the Freeplay section.

The other ones could indeed be a nice addition to the run.

Getting the actual red bricks before buying could indeed be a good idea if it is routed in before going for the other needed blocks and characters to save some time.

I am willing to do it, since I like long speedruns, but I hardly have any idea about the Years 1-4 route.

I will do it if something route-ish can be made. If it is actual fun to do, I try to optimize it as well.

What I have in mind right now is doing it like this: Story Mode Unlock needed chars and point booster extras Freeplay 100% 100% castle Gringotts Bank 100%

Alright, as of now I still have not found a way to get the skip button in the intro scene.

Can someone maybe try some things with a controller as well? Maybe it is just something that pops up for people with a controller?

Also, to make everything a little easier, it might be a good idea to start the split once we get control after the first cutscene in a year? We can do it in a couple of ways:

1. Hit start once you gain control
2. Hit start when the cutscene starts but have a countdown on the timer.
3. I can try to search for someone that can create an auto starter for the game so it can start on the moments stated above this.

Timed intro scenes: Year 5 - 36 sec Year 6 - 1 minute and 30 seconds Year 7p1 - 56 seconds Year 7p2 - 1 minute and 18 seconds

I am hitting my head lately on the end game starting of at the RNG split.

Not knowing any replacement weapons like snipers and shotguns. This results into being underpowered for the endgame and me not being able to finish my first run.

Any tips or tricks?

I will try some things out to maybe see if there is a way to glitch it like Finn did!

Any ideas or thoughts on how to do it will be greatly appreciated!

No he isn't.

That would've meant he needs to do the levels individually, he could skip all cutscenes and he didn't have to learn all the spells in his run.

I am having some problems with the cutscene skip FinnGamer does in the Half-Blood Prince. How does he skip that first cutscene? Simply because it will save about 2-3 minutes in a run.

Yeah, I also thought it was NG+ in that way. Since you can skip hell of a lot in just doing the 6 levels instead of a full year.

My idea was making save files in front of year 2, 3, 4, 6, 7-1 and 7-2 so everybody can just focus on doing NG storymode of each specific year.

I did not include Year 1 and year 5 because those are literally the beginning of the game.

Wait, that means the years do not include learning all the spells, does it? That doesn't really sound all to fair.

Since the story mode option with individual levels is not the full year, is it?

I saw it was 1-4 free play, so I thought you could not use them for the story mode level leaderboards. Looks I am wrong? Haha

Hey guys, should I make some save files so it is easier to run the other years without re-doing all previous years to get to that point?

That basically means if you reset you need to quit the game, replace the save file and you can continue that year again. (So it is saved before the year begins.)

Ah, alright! So for a first run it is definitely not the worst thing to skip the OOB skips?! Nice to know! That will probably mean I can begin with a couple runs tomorrow already!

4. The out of bound skips I saw, do they save minutes or literal hours of gameplay? I am asking this since otherwise I will first learn how to properly do weapon glitches and the level route before puting a lot of focus on the out of bound skips.

I gave a look and it indeed gives me less messages but it still gives me pop ups about getting a grenade mod at the start of the game, golden keys I can use and other (probably DLC) things at the start of the run and when I open the menu for the first time. Maybe some specific DLC you guys turn off in the run? (I am aiming towards learning any% w/DLC (Gaige)

3. Cheatengine works fine now! Took some time to get it to work, but at least I can practise some grenade jumps for whenever I am going to run it! (Hopefully I can start running somewhere tomorrow!)

Since a while I want to get into BL2 speedruns, but never got into it. Now since I want to actually start I find I have myself some problems. I am going to list them down and hope people can help me with it.

1. The auto splitter of the current LiveSplit version does not split and if I downgrade it with the .dll from Funcannon's guide it is glitching out. (I can provide a gif of what it is doing if you guys want to.)

2. I am getting way to many "Tutorial" stuff popping up. Any way to get rid of all/some of them? It might have to do with DLC?

3. Is there by any chance a mod/cheat/glitch which gives me infinite grenades? I want to learn proper grenade jumping, but I can't do that with the grenades I find on the ground.

If I have any more questions I will post them in here! I really hope you guys can help me out!
