I can help you out with old books but as to where to find legal e-books (for free) of more recent stuff like that I'm not sure.

It looks like he just edited the set x_vel parameter probably, just doing some testing right now and you can easily make it move faster by just editing that one variable, should probably implement of rule of having to look over the code before starting runs in recordings, was able to edit the code right now to set a sub second time on the whole thing.
