For the CPU ironman, how are stages chosen? Both of the current runs have done it different ways. The No DLC run does random omega stages, while the DLC run picks legal stages (Town and City, Smashville, etc.)
It doesn't make a big difference, but each team has some different challenges and objectives. While no extensive testing has been done, blue is thought to be the fastest.
I believe that is because of the new srcom layout, which discredits milliseconds, so every 05.XXX time is regarded as the same.
I know this is an old post, but nobody seemed to answer the motivation for posting, which to me, is that it's more about fun than getting a WR. Sure, myself and other players who want to run on VC are fully aware that we won't get a WR, but frankly, I don't really care about that. The only point you have tried to make against this is "oh, you'll never get wr so what's the point of trying," and that is not a valid argument. All you're really doing is giving the game less exposure and less activity for no real reason.
Isn't that more of a high score thing than a speedrun thing?
Eh there are seemingly a ton of people better for the position but I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring. I can organize stuff and help new players get into the game.
That's pretty much just "All Events." The only difference between it and what you are suggesting is that it is from a completed file.
This would be cool, but idk if enough people are active runners to have lively discussion.
And with SBS's victory, the tournaments have drawn to a close! Congrats to SBS winning any% and CTQ winning Captains, and thanks to everybody for participating! We will likely do another sometime this winter, hopefully with a time limit on matches so it doesn't take as long as this one.
Not sure if this is still relevant, but I would enjoy this addition.
Has Donut done runs he has not submitted? He's seeded third despite not having a PB on the leaderboards.
I'd guess that, if ILs were for individual stars, it would look like SM64's ILs, where the courses/galaxies are shown on the sidebar, and the stars and galaxy RTA are shown like SM64's.
SM64 ILs, for reference: http://www.speedrun.com/sm64/individual_levels
This is seeded by PB, correct?
I like them! Will probably do them soon.

I have done a few runs with CTQ of the category above. However, in one, I was player 1, but in another, he was player 1. This leads to the runs both showing up. Can this be fixed, or is it just a quirk of the co-op feature?
I talked to him on both. He said he would do it, but seemingly never did. (tbh, I kinda just want to get this moving so it can be done already)
Due to his inactivity, Icarus has been forfeited from both tournaments. The next matches are crc vs Dracula (any%) and crc vs Ampsen (captains).
