I'm the super-mod of Monstrum. This game was run by players on PC only, but one speedrunner played this game on Switch. Obviously speedrunning this game on Switch won't be as good on PC version - so should I add another platform in the game for this guy, so his run/runs wouldn't be mixed with current PC runs? If so - how can I do it? For now current structure of runs for Mosntrum is quite complicated, there're 13 differents kinds of speedrun + some Misc. All this variables must be replied if I add Switch as a platform?

The main update here regards fuelling the Helicopter.

Before, it was thought that if the fuelling equipment broke, you could no longer escape via the Helicopter. This is not entirely true, as if it finishes fuelling, you can always escape with it, regardless if the fuelling gear gets broken or not. This however, leads to situations were you cannot show in the journal that you managed to fuel the Helicopter before it broke. However it can still be proven that this happened.

The fuelling process takes 84 seconds to complete, and after completion you will see 'Task Completed' popped onto your screen. If it gets broken, you'll see 'Objective Updated'. Both of these can happen, but as long as you see 'Task Completed' before the other one, you'll be fine.

But if you're completing tasks down at the sub while this is happening, it can be a little tricker, as then you'll get multiple 'Task Completed' messages, which may interrupt the 'Task Completed' from finishing fuelling the Helicopter, or the 'Objective Updated' if it gets broken.

So, here are the ways to prove the Helicopter was fuelled properly:

  • Show the Objective journal (the easiest way). Once it shows the process has finished successfully, it doesn't matter whether the cart was destroyed after that. Even if there're other ways to prove the fuelling, you'd better to show the journal anyway
  • Mark "Task Completed" which appears on the screen exactly after 84 seconds from the start of the fuelling
  • Mark "Objective Updated" appeared later then 84 seconds after the start of the fueling
  • Chase music theme isn't interrupted in 84 seconds after the start of the fuelling (but it may be interrupted after 84 seconds when it doesn't matter whether cart is intact or not)

Some time ago I asked myself a question - is there any game which is totally (or, generally speaking, mostly) unsuitable for speedrunning? E.g. there's no glitches, no running possible or smth like that. Do you know such games?

I use LiveSplit 1.7.4. I tried all possible settings inside this program, but I failed to upload any results from this site. The timer itself works perfectly, but I can see only plain time (inside the small black rectangle) during the run, without knowing how good the current time is in comparison with the WR's. Could you help me, please?

I'm the lone super-mod of Monstrum the game. The most of the video in this category were approved back in 2017, when more players were active. I've checked some runs today and realised some source video (on Twitch, mostly) don't play at all (just black screens). Is this fact a reason to delete this runs from the result tables as far as these results don't have a source video anymore?

A new game of mine was verified recently. I added some categoried in there (I haven't done this for a year since I became a mod of Monstrum and I forgot mostly everything). I set the categories, added the run, but if one enters the title of the game itself (https://www.speedrun.com /Contagion) no runs (or even categories) are displayed there. One needs to press "Leaderboard" button to see the existed run. How can I fix that? What checkbox or so should I activate so that all categories and runs wolud be displayed once anybody enters the title of the game?

I checked the settings of this channel - should we allow not to obsolete the worse speedruns of the gamer? I ask this as I usually do good speedruns with good time, but I can't submit it due to the "wrong" monster against me - it seems a bit unfair. Should we remove the corresponding check from the checkbox?

I'm Monstrum speedrunner, and some time ago I was made a moder of this game as I'm the only active runner of this game on this site. Now I have an ability to verify my own speedruns instantly. Is it fair if I know that I followed all the neseccary rules of the speedrun and it's legit?

NB. There's another moder in this game (who made me a moder), but he told me he's gonna give up modering this game in some period of time to make me the only moder of Monstrum. For now I don't know whether he's active moder or not

I know, it sounds quite ridiculous, but I did all types of speedrun in Monstrum I can. Once I decided to perform an insane kind of speedrun - a Sloth one. What does it mean? It's simple - no running allowed (or nearly no running allowed - some exceptions are forgivable). I know it doesn't correspond with typical definition of speedrun, but what's your opinion?

100% complection of Monstrum is quite a challenge, but it is possible, and I have a speedrun to share with good time. Could you create such a topic in list of possible speedruns?

I think, 100% speedrun for Monstrum is essential topic, but it's not shown in Monstrum speedruns list. Could you create such a topic, please? I have a speedrun to share in such a discipline
