Hello, I started running SMW because I'm taking part at a french speedrun event. We use a different rule to start the timer at 1player selection.
My question is can I submit my run here with the timer starting 2.2 seconds earlier and substract them at the end ?
there are 2 timing methods.
SRL timing (for races): timing starts when you select 1 player and ends on the last hit of bowser. SDA timing (for runs): timing starts on the first frame mario appears (2.2 seconds after you select 1 player) and ends when peach appears.
the problem is, just subtracting 2.2secs won't be accurate, because depending how high bowser is on the last hit, it will take him longer to drop peach, because he only drops her when he's on the top.
so from now on i would just SDA timing, so you won't have to retime every run.
