I think that's gonna include a brief Kazuya guide and some information related to the speedrun.

[big]Arcade Mode[/b] consists of

  • 6 Normal Fights
  • After these, you're gonna fight M.Bison/Juri or Jin/Xiaoyu
  • Final Boss - Akuma or Ogre.

Pandora'd characters and Final boss are chosen depending on the first character you chose. T chars will get SF boss and vice versa.

So, let's start from some crucial things i'd like to explain before i go to the next section.

1st one - [big]Switch = reset.[/big] It forces you into a huge timeloss, since you have to fight again against a character that could be even stronger than the first one. Notable examples are Hugo, Marduk, Kuma, Sagat 2nd one - You [big]have[/big] to pick a character with high combo-potential midscreen, that deals a lot of damage meterless. So, Kazuya is still the best option game provides. Second character doesn't matter, but i'd say get Ogre. It's all Ogre now. 3rd one - You can't lose a match, [big]but you can get hit[/big]. Losing a match = timeloss that can't be saved at all, so - reset. If you got hit by the Launcher, look at the first point. 4th one - [big]Save your meter for the next match, if you can finish your current one without using it[/big]. The exceptions are the characters with huge-invul reversals/grabs.

I think that's all.

Timer starts after you started the charaction select. So, i think some bare timings need to be written here. Character select: ~7 seconds. Cutscene - 7.5-10 seconds 1-6 Fights - Around 5:30-6:30, depending on character. M.Bison / Jin - 6:40-7:10. Akuma / Ogre - 7:30 - 8:30. Stop the timer after you killed the last boss.

So, basically, the perfect run consists of getting a good rng of the enemies, without whiffing(missing/getting blocked) your moves and that's actually difficult, [big] ESPECIALLY [/big] on Hardest Difficulty, so start with ez/med.

Therefore, here's a tierlist of CPU characters. Three tiers. Reset, 50/50, Free. (i'm not listing 2nd character, because you're gonna reset anyways if they switch) Explanation comes later.

Reset-tier characters well... for some reason they are coded A LOT BETTER than others, so they ARE fighting back after you somehow got them off guard. Using ex.DP moves, dp-invuls and other crap like perfect/precise attacks. Every fight against them is most likely reset, and ** you don't want to see any of those characters against you **

50/50's are 50/50's. Sometimes they can play like insane, sometimes they just stand afk and not even blocking any hits.

Free ones are not a problem, since most of their hits are slow / you jump over them, that's the list of the enemies you want to see to get perfect run.

[center]Therefore, i'd present you a quick Kazuya-speedrun guide.[/center] Because, why not, that guy is a perfect character for speedrunning this game. [big]Terminology is here (clickable)[/big] (i might not recorded some of the combos, but that's not really needed i think, since most of them are just a variation with same starting sequence)

If you watched any of my speedruns you might notice what i'm not using anything that's not on this list, or, im using some variations with st.hp xx EX.Devastator (qcb.HP) ender, so you might try to experiment with these combos.

Avoid using super arts, since you won't even have meter to do them anyways, and using them cost a lot of time, and that's crucial.

I guess that's it. That's the "basic" guide how to speedrun this game, and i think this games dead anyway so writing how to manipulate AI to do specific moves is unnecessary.
