This works in the 1.04 D patch and NOT the 2.0 (Frontline 59 and PS5) release. Any mission with a takeoff sequence can be skipped. The post mission summary can also be skipped this way at the end of a normal mission. You still get any credits you earned during the mission. You will want a high framerate if attempting higher skip counts. FalconLuma did some testing for this.

Gray screen doesn't mean your run is dead, you should still be able to recover by restarting the game and resuming the campaign run.
