As far as I’m aware, it provides no unfair advantages (except possibly a retexturing of ores to include a thin colour outline, which may count as making them more visible - but honestly I think that’s splitting hairs).

Any of the mods can update me on this? Would appreciate it greatly.

Lined ore are banned. Thats it.

What if I were to edit the texturepack myself to remove the lined ore textures? Would that be acceptable then?

Or would I need to then upload my own version of the texturepack online? Because I feel like doing so (having made only minor changes) would be unnecessary.

if you remove the lined texture and change it with the default minecraft texture, its also an advantage. the best are choosing texture pack with no ore lines. Also, pay attention to the water clearness

Can you elaborate why replacing the texture to default still gives an advantage? Keeping in mind that the background texture is still identical to stone.

About the water, I might need more answers on that.

Because if you make the ores the default colour it will be a different shade of grey and be easier to spot

@benchbotch if that the case then ok. but you must provide link to your modified texture pack. also for water, make sure the water is not more clear than vanilla. clearer water gives advantages

@SalmonTooth1568 I checked the ore textures and compared them to stone. They have the same background textures.

@Etherealxx do you know how to remove a clearer water texture? It’s possible that the texture pack water classifies as clearer water.

just asked a verifier, and she said no. so, the best way is join the discord, open ticket and ask the mod.

I already am in the discord, I just don’t use it much.
