And it was really the only thing I could find regarding the Minecraft speedrunning community taking co-op speedrunning seriously. I've been using https://shockbyte.com/ for my friends and I to speedrun the game, but this post only talks about aternos so I wasn't sure if there was some hardset rule or something.

Please let me know if there is a community for duo-speedrunning, times, and where/how to participate!

Don’t use shockbyte how would u reset easily. Use ngrok instead and your friends can join u almost the same as shokbyte. Also it’s free :). To answer your original question if it doesn’t modify the game in ANY way then it’s probably fine. But that would just be so inconvenient for sr ngrok is just infinitely better and easier to use and u don’t have to risk the run not being verified.
