I was wondering if there was a way to speedrun this game on linux? Because the 2005 and gldsrc packages are windows only i am unable to use them even with wine or proton, i know that Bunnymod is compatible with linux though so i was wondering if there was a way to speedrun on linux
Hello, the only native way to speedrun Half-Life the base game is to speedrun the "Steam version with the Bunnyhop cap" category: https://www.speedrun.com/hl1#Steam
If you want to speedrun WON version that doesn't have the Bhopcap, you unfortunately have to use Wine/Proton and run the Windows version of the game, because the Linux native version was only made in 2013, long after the bhopcap was in place for several years.
