Good Codec for AmaRecTV?

So basically I use the Lagrith Codec currently, but it takes up a lot of space, so I wanted to know if there is any Codec that doesn't slip frames, but still has decent quailty. I've noticed people use the AMV4 codec but, 1. It has a watermark in the corner and 2. I can't get it to work. So if anyone knows of a good codec please tell me

Forgot to mention, but I use a GV-USB2 (I've heard it's better than the Elgatos and such)

It's not the video that I can't play with AMV4 it's simply that nothing appears or I get an error

Edit : If I could record with AMV4 I would be able to view it, but I get an error when trying to record
