Is DeSmuME allowed for this run? I see the second time says it was achieved using an emulator but I don't see anything specific in the rules. Thanks!

since there are only Noishiru and me ever running this game we agred to allow DeSmuME, so running it on emulator is perfectly fine.

we never meassured the difference between DS an emu tho, so this could change if times get more competetive
