Basic guide on Versions and Patches for PC
Güncelleme tarihi 2 years ago tarafından Kalmes

This game was originally released as Divinity 2 Ego Draconis. This version ends after defeating Zandalor and the Divine. After this an add-on/DLC was released called Flames of Vengeance. This added the entire Aleroth section and ends with defeating Behrlihn and Ygerna. After these two releases Larian released Divinity 2 DKS (Dragon Knight Saga) containing both games. There exist multiple patches for the Ego Draconis and DKS version many of which do not contain patch notes and are not easily findable today. These patches influence the balancing of the game heavily. All of these versions were available to buy on disc. Eventually it was decided to release the game on steam. For this they chose the DKS version of the game with all balance patches already applied. This version is called Divinity 2 Developers Cut. To speedrun the game I used an unpatched version of the DKS game that I installed from disc. Discs of this game can be difficult to find today but so far I have not found a better option than getting a disc or finding and old iso and patching it using the DRM free patch found in the Larian forums (listed under resources). The game can still be run using the Developers Cut version but this requires some different strategies and is about 5-10 minutes slower depending on RNG and execution. If you want to start running this game try the Dev Cut version first. Happy speedrunning, Kalmes
