As farm as I am aware the rules for multiplayer have not been redone. And after watching some other games that have coop I was thinking that instead of choosing non dedicated or dedicated we could have both. Although non dedicated is limited I think it is more accessible and would create a more fun experience and some new possible strats even through the tether limits. Maybe for now keep dedicated off limits as I don't think there has been a decided way of doing it so it can be verified consistently. If you don't want to edit the leader boards for it I more than happy to become a mod again since I'm running the game again (if you guys are ok with it).
agree, separated leaderboards for ded and non-ded sounds like a good idea, then you can abuse tether as much as you want as it is part of that leaderboard.
if you want, I can help you with the rules, but I also think that we 3 mods (you, @Bishokukai and me) should take a look at this in general before defining the rules.
btw considering the effort that needs to be done for a multiplayer run (4p default or easy gen / extinction), 4players need to find a day which theyre all have time for a long run. We should preview things like the server setup and start (one of the runners sends us a video that shows how they would do in their run), so we can help them to get everything ready and right before they do their actual run
I agree we need to discuss the rules, on the specifics of the rules. and on your second point I think it is a good idea to give that option to players doing longer runs I can put it in the discord so they can get it checked before they run
