Are the start and stop conditions still “touch first ingredient” and “oven closed after last batch extracted”?

Just re-read again, yes those are the conditions. I have more questions, though.

Is this category still on the cookie clicker category extension discord, and/or is it getting its own discord?

Is using the broiler still legal?

Is using baking parchment paper still legal?

Can a small amount of milk be added to the cookies? I found this in a thin cookie recipe from ATK. Also, this recipe makes cookies that are thinner than required at the edges just by spreading (and I believe this to be the case with a lot of cookie recipes?)

Should there be a minimum amount of chocolate chips?

Just to confirm, the cookies must be on camera at normal speed the entire time they're cooling with no cuts or skipping between end time and post-run requirements.

If I were to submit a run making a different type of cookie or a different baked good, would a new category be created or would my run just be rejected?

That's all my questions for now, thank you!

There's an IRL speedrun discord in the works by the SRC mods. It's not ready yet so IRL discussion can continue in cookie clicker for the time being.

Broiler still legal

Parchment paper is legal, I'll add it to the list.

You're allowed to add extra ingredients that aren't on the list, but the ones on the list are mandatory.

The chocolate chips need to be visible in each cookie, so you definitely need enough, (Maybe experiment with puttin them on after you put the dough on the cooking sheet, before going in the oven?)

Normal speed, no edits, no speed-up. You're free to edit your runs for personal use(YT, etc.) but it needs to be the full video for the submission.

There is opportunity to add new baking categories. A discussion would need to be had for each additional item, mainly getting a ruleset in place that the community can agree upon.

A few other follow ups -

Can you use more than one baking tray?

Are liquid eggs (in a carton, from Costco) legal?

In QT's run, she uses pam spray for nonstick, but I don't think that their use is explicitly permitted in the rules. Can the use of nonstick spray be added?

Some clarification should be had for the use of fridge/freezer. It's unclear if they can be used afterwards to cool the cookies down, which would give a structural advantage to frozen cookies.

Thanks!

You can use as many baking trays as you want.

We'll have to talk about liquid eggs, let me get back to you.

Pam is fine under the extra ingredients rule.

My original intent for using the Fridge/Freezer was to cool the melted butter, but however people use them is up to them.

IRL Speedrunning discord

This doesn't just pertain to Baking as there are other IRL types, but SRC has begun to gather all of them here.
