About IGT and real time

I have only recently noticed some differences between IGT and real time of players on leaderboards. Then I found that the timing mechanism of the IGT was faulty. It doesn't match the actual time of many players. I think we should use real time as the default timing to make the speedrun rules fairer for players.

And on IL leaderboard, some runs that were uploaded may have been confused with players. For example, it shows WEGFan's MLBR 36s, whose video description shows that the run came from another player. And all peter's best runs are on http://wogfan.rf.gd/ptr231_scores.html. So I think some of the runs that are uploaded from wogfan are not made by him.

I think the full-game leaderboards originally had Real Time Attack (RTA) as the default sorting time, but since we added the IL leaderboards we changed it to IGT. The way that speedrun.com works is that the full-game runs and IL's are connected, so since we had RTA+IGT in the full-game runs we had to have them that way in the IL's.

Thanks for catching some of the IL runs. I notice some of the past runners don't have YouTube channels, but other people post their records on channels such as Mygod Studios or wogfan. I believe runs posted on wogfan are peter's unless he notes otherwise, though if I make a mistake feel free to notify me.

We've been discussing this on Goofans Discord, and I think we'll be changing the rules for the IL leaderboard to focus on the In-Game Time. New rules are expected to say to submit the IGT as the RTA, and the current precise calculations for RTA will be moved to each run's notes.
