Henlo,
I will be running Racing Mode soon, already completed a practice run, but I was wondering why are PS2 emulators still banned here? PCSX2 is widely considered to be as accurate as real hardware and I haven't seen any other lb on sr.c that still bans emulation so I was curious that maybe it's just an outdated issue because nobody cared?
If your reasoning is faster loads then I've already compared that and the loads on PCSX2 are slower than HDD loads (I compared vs. 1st and 3rd place runs). Unless it's a PAL vs. NTSC thing? Tbh it looks like this entire category should be switched to loadless (or better, IGT) as even DVD vs. HDD gives a huge advantage and not everyone has a pirated console.
So yea lmk if there's any hopes of allowing emus any soon, I'll run anyways but it'll change my approach a lot as I'll be playing from Disc otherwise
We've just done a full game playthrough of TFATF (PS2) with @J0nny0 and there is only one conclusion: Any% is an absolute cancerous garbage because of the touge/drifts
The first half of the run is great, the first 5 touge events are alright too, but then an absolute unpleasant and inconsistent grindfest begins
The only reasonable category that should ever be considered running is "Grip King" or whatever you'd like to call beating the final street race opponent.
This is just my input but, do consider this. And in case you need more convincing, go and complete the drift campaign yourself.
Making changes to the "Info" tab in "Edit Game" requires you to press "Save" after making any changes; however, as much as selecting someone else to be a supermoderator in the "Moderators" tab is applied immediately with no questions asked. I believe this should be changed to prevent "unfortunate accidents" in the future. Even in the "info" tab a mistake can quickly be fixed so confirming changes with a "save" button is less important, yet that tab has this. For creating variables I guess it works the other way around, since if you created like 20 and then forgot to hit "save" or the page closed you'd lose significant progress.
Yes, I am writing this because I accidentally supermodded someone and can't take it back from him (they were already a mod, just a smoler one), that much is on me, but I think this is a terrible UX design that you just press the role name and it's immediately saved. Same thing could happen if you happen to scroll down yourself to a lower role, and then you'd be stuck with no mod powers, I'm sure that'd be great too.
So yea basically, suggestion/request to implement the confirmation for that tab too.
