A dellop (Delayed Rope) is useful when you use a rope to turn if there is no wall. By not using the rope immediately you can gain time because you turn on the edges. So by using the rope later you can save more time

By spamming on the roof your character will turnaround for a frame before turning back which slows the character by a frame which could be a setup for some jumps?

By spamming the spacebar/mouse when you land on the ground the character will turn around instead of having to hit a wall. You can spam before you land to get the same result when you land. Really easy and consistent. :D
