If I were to run the game on Gameloft Classics via Android (real phone) would it be put on here as emulated Java? Also there's an Android version of this game so I'd imagine that the Android version made before the Classics re-release would be labeled as Android and Classics release being Java. Version number in the Classics version is 1.2.5 btw. I've only seen 1.2.0 on the original J2ME releases.

Which version of the game would that be? If you don't know, Gameloft re-released 20 of there older J2ME games for Android and iOS in a collection known as Gameloft Classics which is different from the original Android/iOS versions of this game instead being one of the J2ME versions released. The about page says it's 1.2.5 copyright 2008. The resolution seems to be the same as the only accepted Java version.

Want to run this game using this setup due to lack of decent capture for PS2, would this work fine? I made the speakers of the system be under the phone so it can be audible. Phone fps records at 29.78fps according to the file info in Windows. Am running off the disc, though because the console is across the room you most likely can't hear it moving (am on the fat model btw).

The video,

mirror in case that other one doesn't work since I swear YT compressed it, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EQhjB-QdaWQUbIdNLzoKyrr19RliHPvs/view

Typically I use Kemulator for J2ME games, but am unsure if it's good enough for J2ME speedruns. While I do have a few J2ME based phones, I can't transfer games onto any atm.

Since it was only released on obscure J2ME i-mode Domoco phones pretty much nothing appears on google except the speedrun page

Firstly when you die you may get your previously empty bomb and strikes back.

From what I've seen the blue beam is the best power-up, and can be stacked up to three times.

On the bosses once you can hit one spam the bomb button (Y/Triangle) which will cause any projectiles to despawn. Then use all of your strikes until you run out.

If you're terrible (like me) and die during a boss you may get more bombs like previously mentioned so use those. You can even die on purpose during a boss to get this done faster, but can be risky. Lastly after the first boss you typically have to outrun the crashing boss while dodging enemies. Just hold up until you die. It will not only end the stage early, but also won't make you loose a life due to this section being a bonus.

Only other thing I can think of is keep spamming fire when loads of enemies are up, and if you're in a less tense part with fewer enemies then shoot at a lower rate until more appear that you can't handle without spamming fire.

aka with control stick. Asking since you have to hold down the whole time and also hold jump and left at one point while down is held. https://www.speedrun.com/inside/guide/2quz5

Thought of a category idea where you try to get as much of the game's content as you can with just the starter set (As in only Batman, Batmobile, Gandalf, and WildStyle, no one else). Mainly got this idea as that's all I have for this game, the starter set as I only now after like 5 years am playing this.

The only worlds you would be able to do are the DC World, Lego Movie World, and Lord of the Rings World. You can do the main story mode like normal, and can get some of the things in the worlds. I think you can also do the Mystery Dimension (unlocked at 20 gold bricks found by walking forward from the Jurassic World portal).

I'll update this with lists of things you can do with just the starter set in the game.

Did they change something with how the game is 100%'ed?

One I have that would be useful is to add the game's console as V.Smile instead of not having one. Secondly it'd be cool to see a IL leaderboard for this game. Lastly I have a Chinese version of the game which adds a new Learning Zone mini-game along with other features.

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

I noticed the only category is Any% which is a run of the Learning Adventure, and I think there should be another one added for Learning Zone where you would run all the games in the Learning Zone mode. Toy Story 2's leaderboard does this. Any% being called that is fine, but might also make more sense to name it Learning Adventure? I was also wondering if you could add some IL categories for each stage in Learning Adventure, and maybe Learning Zone.

On all versions, would I be able to use a QWERTY format keyboard? I'm also wondering if on the PS2 version if a USB keyboard will work. I'm asking as info on this game is scarse outside of a review of the game from LGR.

I'm asking as the Wii and PS2 are less powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360, and remember there may have been a few differences on the PS2 version from Gggmanlives' review on the game where he mentions the PS2 version in it along with the Xbox 360 version which is what he played.

Also of course the Wii version probably has motion controls forced in, though I don't know anything of the Wii version, and did'int know it existed at all.

I was making a level map for Blockade Runner that's apart of a project to map all the areas of the GBA version of this game over on the Spriters Resource. I got to this room where you have to activate three floor buttons to deactivate the electric wall to get the mini-kit, and because I had to go through the wall to get the mini-kit, and to capture that end of the room I first tried to solve it, but never knew how to legit. I used to exploit the floor buttons by walking on them fast enough to keep them all on at once, but I could'int do it, so I then decided to capture as much as I can up against that wall, walking left and right on the slope. I must have jumped at the part of the slope that ends, and clipped through the floor while holding forward the whole time, causing me to get to the other end. C3P0 will ram himself against the edge like an idiot, and once you've gotten the mini-kit, you can switch to him, and escape. Just be warned that if he moves towards the slope in a way, he too can clip in with you, meaning you'll be stuck and have to quit through the menu because there's no objects to clip through on that end with that electric wall still up.

I'll post an image of this glitch, along with a download to a save state file for VisualBoyAdvance, in the emulator once you load the rom just click load (not load game) to load a state from a file. Pick this file, and you should see it in game. If it does'int work for you, the rom I'm using is "LEGO Star Wars II - The Original Trilogy (U)". I'm pretty sure this can be done on real console, knowing how buggy and weird collisions can be on this port. BTW that stage mapping project I'm doing for this, I'll let you know by making a thread for a walkthrough I've made that will have images, unlike that GameFaq walkthrough which btw has been archived.

Did'int know this was on here because the V.Smile consoles does'int list this as on that. Would someone mind putting down this is for V.Smile so people know it's on here as there is no console this says it's on.

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

I'm asking as looking up this game only shows the game on PC through steam. The V.Smile does'int even have any homebrew software outside of a simple program to draw spheres on the screen made for testing.

BTW is that Mr. Enter in the background as a PONY?! XD

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

As in what are the rules, there are none at all, and no runs to give me an idea.

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

I'm asking because unlike DVD players, on Windows you can just click the area, and it will select instead of having to manually go through and select the option. It would be a great speed advantage, and was thinking of doing this game through something like VLC Player which has support for DVD menus, so does Windows Media Player.

When playing the stage in freeplay I've accidentally come across a dupe glitch. Once you're at the 2nd snowman at the place you have to light the explosive to blow up the wall. I used a rocket launcher to blow up the wall, accidentally grabbed the torch, then built the snowman. I apparently lit the explosive when I moved as another explosive went off and the snowman was not built again, but the platform thing you also build was still there. I built the snowman again, and even though it still said 2/3 it gave me the treasure as the dupe confused the game. I then built the platform, and the one I originally built got replaced with this new one which made me realize what happened.

Don't know if this could be useful in a 100% run, but can be if that run is routed differently. I think to activate the glitch you blow the wall with a rocket launcher, then quickly grab a torch to lite the dynamite, then build the snowman. It will explode, then build it again.
