I agree - the current runs are certainly impressive and I enjoy watching them, but it's a little disappointing how they're basically all "choose plasma deck and then get a lot of chips"

As always, it depends if anyone wants to run them. With most obscure speedrun categories, they get added to the leaderboards after someone starts running it.
