Not sure if this is entirely new or not but I found that you can in fact slide while throwing an airplane, its basically the same concept as getting a free airplane with the shaolin kick but in this instance you would hit jump instead. then you immediately want to slide left or right, timely feels pretty precise, but the slide will offset the jump. more testing needs to be done, but if you throw the airplane the right and slide right it should hurt you on release, maybe a new trick for the final boss and an instant kill?

-2.51 is the countdown timer for the Sega Version of this game. You can start the split countdown when you hit Start on the screen prior to the first stage. Keep in mind that this is for the Daze before Christmas run thats equivalent to having the pal game itself run on a ntsc genesis. The rom that has the correct speed is in the resource section under tools. If you are just running the pal version of this game on a pal setting, I believe the countdown timer is -2.59. you can tell the difference between the soundtracks in which version is faster. i would imagine that it cant be done on hardware unless you have some sort of modification. I know i won't be running this game anytime soon i was curious if i could figure it out. Makes ya wonder what else can be done though. well good luck man, post your progress if ya manage to get it. e positioning for the jump and when you meet the projectile feel like they have to be spot on the climb itself doesn't have to be like it was in the tas

I just got it but i used my keyboard while using the controller. so i don't know if there is a way to hold up and down at the same time. someone who uses a keyboard for a controller could pull this trick off hold up first then hold down and jump and you will see it puts you higher through the floor. then meet the ball to glitch you through the floor

this got me interested so i tried messing with it for like an hour with no success. i looked up tas video and it says something about up + down jump, makes no reference but i think its the referring to the one in question. i can't hit up plus down at the same time with my controller

it also makes me think of the tas only blob skip for castlevania ii simon's quest, where simon has to meet the blob at exactly the right moment in time at the exact height, like everything gotta be picture perfect. it looks like the tas moves to the right when jumping on the projectile. i'll be curious to know if you can get this to go. the tas even holds up left before jumping aiming the gun up, i wonder if thats what makes that enemy shoot like that as well.

oddly enough every gameplay you find everywhere is on course with the slow version of 22, its the strangest finding ever. one thing i do kno is that there was an american version planned but canceled

you can tell in the music alone. the australian version is slow. but the other version is same rate as former world record. put it this way, australian first split ends at 22 if everything goes right, but the other version ends on 18 if everything goes right like the former world record. a 4 second difference due to speed alone

I originally downloaded a rom that said Australian on it. But for the life of me I couldnt understand how I wasn't keeping up with the world record. What i found was the version I was playing was slower all around. I found a different version of the rom that kept up with the speed of the world record. According to the wikipedia this game was an australian exclusive only which means its pal only. but a theory that we came up with is that this game runs faster on a ntsc console? anyways let me know your thoughts on this matter.
