In an attempt to help negate the late-game problem of cpu lag affecting speedruns, i have added a new category - reaching the 10th of 13 Milestones. The tenth milestone is Capital City. After comparing many runs, i have concluded that this milestone is largest population milestone before any affectable lag begins.
gg and glhf~
Progression milestones not directly tied to city population makes for an uninteresting speedrun. :(
Hi everyone,
When patch 1.12 (https://skylines.paradoxwikis.com/Patch_1.12.0) was released on May 21, 2019, the education mechanic of the base game was re-balanced, thereby fundamentally changing how the buildings upgraded in terms of citizens' education levels. The leaderboard has been updated to reflect runs submitted before/after that date.
In addition, all of the various maps which were released along with each DLC have been added. That's 29 new maps added to the leaderboards.
Good Luck, Have Fun~
If anyone has any questions/comments/concerns/suggestions/etc., feel free to ask here :)
All maps (both no DLC and w/DLC) now have 2 sub-categories - No Mods and Unlimited Money Mod (the one which comes with the base game only).
GLHF ALL~! <3 Free World Records for the taking~!~! ;D
PS I did a trial run on Black Woods no DLC Unlimited Money Mod just to get something in the category. Hopefully there are some other city clickers that can challenge my utterly dominating reign >:D MWAHAHAHA >:D PPS "Don't knock it till you try it" Edit: here's that run
The 3 newest maps - Cliffside Bay, Grand River, and Foggy Hills, are all European (base theme) tileset maps. This tileset adds new models for high density residential, high density commercial, and offices, as well as adding new building models for city services such as health, fire, police, and education. These new building models have a larger footprint than the vanilla buildings.
In order to get the option to use the vanilla buildings again, from the main menu, select Content Manager, go to Styles, and ensure the checkbox for European / Vanilla is checked. This is not a mod. Also, this simply ADDS the vanilla buildings the European tileset options, not REPLACES.
GLHF
Can we get Cliffside Bay, Foggy Hills, and Grand River all added to the list of maps? According to the Cities Skylines Wiki, they are base game maps.
Also, I bet there could be lots of excitement around map-making specifically for speedrunning in this game. Paradox holds a community competition to design a map(s) for speedrunning? (idea examples: smaller starting usable land, less overall highway access, etc.) I really feel there is an untapped speedrunning community here :)
i just streamed the new world record on Two Rivers. 1hr06m22s :) I had LiveSplit going but now i don't know how/where to upload. I tried to share it via LiveSplit onto this website but there was no category listed.
How about a category for the Fix The Traffic scenario that comes with the Mass Transit DLC? I have a PB if so. :)
