Hey, pretty new to speedrunning. I'm trying to learn 70 star on 3D all stars on joycons. I know it's not ideal, I don't really care just trying to learn a new hobby. I've learned about 10 stars so far but for some reason i can not figure out for the life of me how people get around mario spinning around the whomps tree every time you long jump onto it. When I watch runs, people spin around to the side they want to jump off and stop, but for me mario has to do an entire 360 degree spin around the tree and then I have to turn him to where I want him to jump.
