We have a category where we want to sort the runs by the consecutive number of times the runner did something and are potentially planning on adding another category with a similar metric. We tried creating a custom value, but we had to add all numbers from 1 to 200 or let users add custom values (which can also end up being strings for some reason) and then manually sort them so the drop down menu is still numerically ordered. Because of this, users or mods have to edit times to random and irrelevant values so that the ordering is correct.
Are there any plans to implement a feature like this? I can't imagine it would be too difficult to specify the custom value as an integer and then setting that as the default sort criteria as that's already implemented with something like IGT. I've looked this up and I've seen other forum posts asking the same thing in the past so I believe this would be a useful feature for multiple communities.
Our community is very friendly, and we will be more than happy to help you get started running the game.
Discord is the best place to go for any questions and resources including instructions to get JP versions of the game and GameShark Practice codes. You will get a significantly faster response than any post made here. Permanent Invite Link: https://discord.gg/KhrfWWf

You can use an everdrive to practice certain parts of the run (several runners have codes they use for practice that they can share) but any actual runs must be done on a real cart/console
Emulator is banned for all categories, both normal and extensions. You can play on any official release of the game (n64, wii, wii U, iQue)
Emulators are not allowed for leaderboard runs but you can use emulator to learn the game and determine if it is a game you are interested in speedrunning before buying a consoles. If you're looking for the cheapest option, the best would probably be finding a used wii and then modding it to run a japanese version of the game which is very easy to do.
Hi, I will not be available to do a run on Sunday. I submitted one game and a glitch exhibition for Paper Mario. I would be available for my run any time on Friday or Saturday.
Hey so I'm maybe planning on learning this game for the 12 hour speedrun challenge next month and I just had a few questions.

Are there any required tricks that are Japanese only or does english only lose time to text? I have the english version already but I don't want to spend too much money on a JP cart and I don't really like playing on emulator

Is there any place I can go to quickly ask other questions like a discord server or an irc channel?
Thanks.
