I bought the physical because of a 25% coupon from one of the main computer retail stores in the UK (Currys for those familiar), I also bought physical for preservation reasons - though to be honest I'm not 100% set on speedrunning Wonder yet, so I'll have to wait and see first.
However, if loads on the physical version make it impossible to get a high level run, then I'll probably consider buying the digital copy later down the line.
Hey all, I managed to get my R4 reading on my DS lite again after about 6 years since I last actually used it. Just wondering, is there any way of actually being able to screen record on one?
Apparently there's no way to install a capture board on the DS lite (only the older, bigger model) and I don't want to use emulators which most sites seem to suggest doing either, especially because they're not ideal for speedrunning on either.
I have also attempted streaming using my old Logitech C110, my Logitech C920 and also my phone which works alright and I could use this as my last resort if there's nothing left I can do. The only problem is my C110 only films up to 1024x768 and the quality is so bad on it and my C920's focus messes up because webcams obviously aren't designed for recording screens. I mounted my webcams under my loft bed where I have about 30 inched between that and my desk, for my phone though I can't find a good enough position with the setup I have to be able to set up my phone in an ideal place to show my DS.
I'm not aware of any other options I can give a try which is why I'm curious if anyone here can give me any suggestions not already mentioned, especially someone else who also used one for either recording and/or speedrunning. Thanks in advance :)
If you only show forwards and backwards on the page rather than NFS edition/stock forwards as it is at the moment, then you don't account for whether the fastest times on tracks were done on NFS edition cars or with stock cars. Personally I think it's weird that it only shows the world record times for forwards tracks with NFS edition and stock cars respectively and it would just be a whole lot easier having all four categories shown, but I don't think it's possible to do noting that it'll even cause more clutter on the page even if it can be done.
I can't really tell much of a difference between NFS edition and stock cars either way but I'm pretty sure there are some differences with the NFS edition cars that alter how they perform compared to the stock cars besides the fact all NFS edition cars have a unique cosmetic paint job.
