So as you have all probably been able to tell it's kind of chaos sorting everything out. Sometimes a radical change patch comes in every 15 days and sometimes theres a dry spell for months upon months on end.

It's hard to tell what to count and what not to count, and how to categorize it all. As of now I've separated it into the post-Wawsp addition and the pre-Wawsp versions

However as you all know, you can't download or access older versionso f the game unless someone has themem and sends you them or you just so happen to have them. It's a bit unfeasible and impractical to have a leaderboard for every tiny change and category.....but each release of the game really does often times drastically change the times you can get in each category. For example: the terrain changes, map location changes, burst damage being nerfed, physics bugs, overall item changes.

I want your guys's input, if any of you are out there to give any. I'd love to see more people playing JG like they were earlier this year, and I want to make it understandable and fair for newcomers as well as all you veterans.

I speedrun obscure stuff all the time, even though I also run in some of the more actively played games. I am equally proud of all of them.

Juice Galaxy , it's also free and easy to download.

Most runners can beat it in under 15m easily in it's main category and below 10m isn't terribly difficult to skill up to.

Theres categories that can be done in just a minute or five as well.

Basically, it is just easier to manage and filter through when it's more compartmentalized in proper categories.

There is a much bigger reason, however, as to why v0.1.9 and likely verisons above it will have to be their own distinct section. This is primarily because, as of now, you can only ever download the most up to date version of Juice Galaxy, making previous runs impossible for others to run unless someone can pass them the files. (which I do not endorse, and may likely go against the wishes of Fishlicka, the developer)

The other reason is because v0.1.9 not only adds in a new boss, but also adds in a mechanic known as "burst armor" which makes bosses signficantly hader to one-shot. They no longer take massive damage from the attacks that used to guarantee kills.

These differences are so extreme that it wouldn't be fair to put v0.1.9 and future runs in the same ball park with older versions. This basically affects every single category.

@starsmiley I have attempted to contact the mod that's logged in the last few days through their other contacts, I also shot them a message and still have yet to receive a response. They seems to log in now and then every couple of weeks but haven't had any run activity for something like 3 years and I haven't seen any more recent runs in the last year or so verified by them.

I even joined their RTS speedrun community discord they use and tried to contact him there but couldn't get into contact with him

The run along with several other IL runs of mine for the same game have not been verified in over a month, would it be possible for me to be added as a moderator of the game? I am a super mod of the later standalone expansion of the same title, I'm not sure if that is worth mentioning or not.

Would it be possible to have IL runs for the levels of the campaign or at some of the skirmish modes? I don't mind if not, just found it odd that it doesn't exist.

I've had 6 near-WR's and some by a lot. At one point i was on pace for sub 6...

No WR yet though, the RNG has not been in my favor.... maybe 1 in every 30 runs I even get a chance to go to the pizza.

I got a recorded 6m 28s but the Clog had literally a pixel sliver of health and killed me....and he took damage while I died and since I was dead bosses can't die when you're technically not alive....sigh......So close yet so far

Grats to Filet for being current WR. My time is only 2~ seconds faster but I can't verify my own run so I'm sitll waiting on it.

Where the hell is a car?

Seems barely significant in Mygeeto outside of just being MUCH easier to do with consistency.

Definitely seems a lot more useful for Death Star, you could save a decent amount of time since you won't have to wait as long for the rebel waves to spawn.

You have to pick up enough speed and height that you fly out of the "respawn" box below the map. Ideally this is done by getting a lot of speed on the slope and then using the jump pad to fly off into the distance and die. Alternatively you can use the grenade launcher to achieve a similar effect.

Just look at the runs that are already posted, they all show several ways of doing it.

Full-screen, does windowed help?

No matter what I try OBS won't capture this game, it just refuses to pick it up when I try to record game. Everything else works fine, is there some setting I'm missing for recording it or?

I really want to speedrun this game, but if OBS doesn't work I'm SOL since I don't really use twitch.

I gave it another peak and you're right...for most of it in Chaos City they are just a dead meat torso that reaches the end and gets no victory screen...They just manually hit the menu and leave

Does that count? Technically they got to the end but I thought the point was to get the "Victory!" popup...Otherwise I have a lot of runs that could of been way faster...
