I know that long jumps are busted, but does that make them a glitch? It just seems like something the devs didn't consider, but isn't a mistake in the programming or geometry. And OoT3D allowed S&Q because it's actually incorporated into the game now (not a save and console reset), so I don't see why MM3D can't do the same, although I can see a home reset as not being as legit as an in game save and quit.

Also that's not a great argument for gainers, since you can do a deku backflip which is much more legit. That would also stop doing a gainer to get into Ikana Castle early.

I've got a few questions about the glitchless rules that seem a bit funky to me.

First off, why are damage boosts not allowed? What part of those is a glitch, or unintended? Second, is the sidehop onto the side of the mountain to skip the ice to Snowhead allowed?

Next, is the Backflip S&Q at Ikana allowed? I'd argue that it only uses intended mechanics, in a similar fashion to a Goron boost to GB early.

Also, why would a gainer be allowed when long jumps aren't, they both seem to be abuse of intended game mechanics. Are we just allowing tech based on how much it skips?

I don't know, it just seems really strange the specifics of what is and isn't allowed. I'd also expect glitchless to be a much more fun run if glitchless skips like GB early were allowed.

Is this gonna be updated for flower slide escape in cycle 1? Also we only need to buy bomb bag, not bombs or chus, since they'll disappear right?
