To go into a tad bit more detail...the person that submits the run would become the moderator. They would then set rules for the game, presumably based around the run that they had already submitted.

Is there anything that can be manipulated or skipped if you start from a death? I think it was the first cutscene but I'm not sure. If you can skip something then I'd choose 3.

jackgamer You should probably give a reason why you want to instead of just saying you want to. Both mods haven't been on the site in a few months or more, but I don't know about other sites. You should try to get into contact with them on Twitch or Discord.

I did say that in my post above. And perhaps I was unclear, so I'll apologize for that. What I meant by not showcasing a runner's skill was that it does not showcase any skill as...well...a RUNNER. Building a TASBot does not have anything to do with actually using ffzRealSkill to run the game. It involves coding the bot to imagine a perfect run.

I think that Bethesda should be on the top 5 because I feel like they revolutionized the RPG games with Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Maybe there was something before them though idk :p

Speedrunning is technically defined as finishing a game as fast as possible, so I guess if we want to split hairs, a TAS is a form of speedrunning. However, a TAS is an abbreviation "Tool Assisted Speedrun". It does not showcase any runner's skills, unless you want to count the person that made the bot or whatever is being used to TAS (I'm not 100% familiar with TASing so I don't know exactly what they use, but I hope you see my point). A TAS is used to find the perfect, most optimized way to run a game, down to perfect execution and RNG.

A save state is not a TAS because it doesn't use a tool, just an earlier state of the game that can probably be used to manipulate RNG or whatever.

In a few GTA games (3 and VC for sure, not 100% sure of the other 3D games like LCS or VCS) you can make replays. They're coded like crap, so you can actually pick up things through replays (like a rampage or bribe star). You can use this mechanic doing anything from picking up bribe stars over and over to duping and therefore skipping entire missions.

As you can (hopefully) see, the mod names go outside the box. Is this a game specific thing? Or can it be fixed by the site? IMHO it just looks ugly. Presents no real problem though. :p

Yes he has. But how is that relevant? I don't trust him as a person, nor do I particularly like him. But he hasn't shown himself to be a bad moderator yet. Personal issues should be kept out of speedrunning, should they not?
