Hello all! For the past six years I have been contemplating and routing a Max Catalog speedrun for DWM2, much like the mainline Pokemon games have "Max Pokedex"/Catch 'Em All categories. This past weekend, I finally finished my first fully recorded completion of the prospective category, which took about 26 and a half hours over the course of two days (with a rest break partway through). I'm very proud of all of the work I've put in, and want to propose that Max Catalog be made an official category on the leaderboards. My suggested ruleset is as follows:

• Obtain the Catalog entries for all monsters other than Watabou and WonderEgg (which require major glitches or a Link Cable).
• Timing starts on confirming character name. Timing ends on the first frame that "Categories: 310" is visible on the PLAN: Info screen.
• Communication features ("Link Cable features") are not allowed.
• RNG manipulation is allowed.
• Map Glitch, Cloning Glitch/Save Corruption, and Cloakroom Glitch are not allowed. Minor bugs such as Held Item Duplication are allowed.
• Breaks are allowed as follows: The runner may take a maximum of 3 breaks drawing from an 18 hour pool of break time. After the 20 hour mark, and every 20 hours after, the runner has 3 more breaks and 18 more hours added to their pool.

The rules for rest breaks were adapted directly from those for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 100% runs (as far as I know, there are not standardized rest break rules for Dragon Quest speedruns of this length - but if there are, those should of course govern).

For reference, in my run, I took one rest break 16 hours and 26 minutes into the run. That rest break lasted for just over 17 hours, so my run is compliant with the proposed rules.

I understand that leaderboard moderators prefer to see at least two runs from different runners before establishing a new leaderboard category, but given the immense scale of this run I hope that y'all will be inclined to waive that requirement - I don't think I'll achieve any success encouraging other runners to give this category a try without a leaderboard to link them to.
