It's been tested and confirmed by Reece, the Wrong Warp (and this Setup) works on Console!!

It's also both works with and without Fast Disk Speed on PS2, so it most definitely also works on normal PS1! Now we just have to route it, but that shouldn't be too hard, because it's quite similar to Any% (No ID) on N64. Let's do it! :D

Are there any differences between the different versions of this game?

I found a setup for the Wrong Warp on PS1 that works on emulator. Since we still don't know if the Wrong Warp works on console it would be great if someone could try this setup a few times, so if it works just 1 time on console, we would know that it works and we could route a new Any% PS1 Route, which would be awesome!

I can't test it myself because on the PAL version the camera rotates a bit different for some reason, and this is the only setup I found that works consistently. The Wrong Warp is way more precise than on N64.

Can a mod add PS2 and maybe also PS3 as selectable platforms? The current WR also played it on PS2, so you could then also change the platform he played on. Cheers :)

Since I now found kinda the exact same Glitch in 2 different games, which is "Item Duplication" I wanted to ask if it's known in other games and in how many other games it could also work? The glitch is easy to explain: Collect an Item or Collectable AFTER exiting the Level (After hitting "Back to hub" or "exit level"). By that you can collect the same Item/Collectable again and again.

Here are 2 videos explaining the glitch, one in Gex 3 and one in Muppet Monster Adventure.

In MMA: In Gex 3:

So, with this Glitch you can collect nearly ANY Muppet Token over and over again. Since you can scroll from the 1st Level to the left to the Final Boss when you have enough Muppet Tokens, you don't have to beat any Level to beat the game. This saves like 2-3 hours of 4 hours of gameplay for Any%, if not more.

The Other coin may be a bit faster to get but this setup is way easier and way more consistent :)

EDIT: -Using variables for No ID/No WW would mean that they would be subcategories for Any%? -Seperate by System = No System subcategories? -Seperate game pages for Gex 3 PS1/Gex 3 N64? I wouldn't wanna do that :D

That's a possibility, but then Any% PS1 would also be hidden. That's why I suggested to maybe call the categorie not using the Glitch just Any%, because the glitch doesn't work on PS1. It's quite complicated :D

I think that sounds good, I actually first also thought about that, but that would make the Level leaderboards even more confusing. That would definitely be the last Level Category if we'll add it :P

Thanks Reece! The only thing that makes this Glitch bad is that there is no cue for it, so it's kinda luck based right now. I'm also thinking that it's maybe possible to exit the level and get hit by something after that, so it hits you into the coin. But maybe you can't get hit after gitting exit, I don't know right now, it should definitely be tested by someone.

I also just asked Zander what he thinks about naming the categories, so I'm also gonna wait for that :D I myself actually think that making a category for the glitch like "Any% Item Duplication" would maybe be better. I totally understand that Any% should be the fastest category, but PS1 Any% is kinda hidden now, and it would generally look better, also for people who wanna who wanna start running this game, since a category using this glitch wouldn't be a great category. But that's just my opinion. I'm gonna leave it like it is right now until Zander responds :)

Of course I will also wait for other to post what they think, but I think I will name the Categories as you suggested and make "Any% No Item Duplication" the first Categorie that's gonna show (Because Any% would really be a strange and kinda "luck" based categorie, because you have no cue for when you are near enough to the coin). But again, that sounds good! :)

I found this Glitch today:

It lets you collect any Bonus Coin & PawPrint over and over again (Only works on N64). Since it would kinda ruin the whole Any% categorie I wanna ask if we should add "Glitched Any%" to the leaderboard that would use this glitch, maybe also as a misc categorie.

What do you think?

EDIT: Important note, by using this glitch coins in each Hub World will disappear (If the level is in 1st Hub World, then it will disappear in the 1st Hub World). So you should collect the Coins in the Hub World First if you want to collect them.

I added the Level leaderboard a few days ago and it also has PS1/N64 subcategories. But I also thought that we could maybe remove the PS1/N64 subcategories just for the Level Leaderboard to make it more simpel.

Would you rather have subcategories for all Levels/Remotes, or no subcategories, so that both PS1 and N64 can be submitted and be listed for the same Remote?

The links of Jumpyluff's Any% and 100% WR runs are wrong now (Because Twitch changed all VOD links) I found the VODs and the links to them again, so it would be good if a mod changes them :)

What emulator is prefered if I do runs on emulator? Are there emulators that are banned?

@kirkq Oohhh, I think you did misunderstand me. (I read my comment again and I expressed myself really weird). I meant to show "emulators & platforms" only for PS1 categories and "only platforms" for N64 for Gex 3. I would never only show emulator runs by default.

EDIT: I just changed it to show "emulators & platforms" by default now and banned emulators in the N64 rules (Like ROMaster2 suggested). I think that is a really good idea.

I know this sounds like a weird question, but is it possible to Only show emulator runs by default for 1 specific platform or subcategory? Because the N64 version of Gex 3 for example has much lag, so emulator would have a huge advantage. PS1 instead would be more comparable to emulators.
