Game Dev Tycoon, though mostly because I want to see how much further the game can be broken lol
I stand corrected, the run I had to delete was submitted by myself on behalf of the runner. My apologies.
Hello, thanks for aproving my game request. Would it be possible for it to be set as a Webgame please?

Thanks.
Mods CAN delete runs as well as reject them.
Source: Am mod of a game and had to remove a run after a rule change.
Best experience was getting a 05:05 time on Game Dev Tycoon's ByeGarage% category, followed up with a near-perfect run of ByeOffice% in 48:15 a few days later which meant I had finally managed to obtain WR on all 4 categories again. Only thing to do now is go for the absolute perfect times on every category.
Awesome, I'll get my hands on a copy as soon a I can then. Btw you should look into getting screen capture software like OBS or Xsplit for your runs.
Hi, I'm interested in running this game but I don't own it at the moment. I was going to buy a copy online but I thought I'd ask first if it is compatible with Windows 10? Cheers.
The problem with letting the opposing officers grab free space is often it leads to you having to fight the same force multiple times. However I've often noticed that letting the main three kingdoms fight it out against each other leads to one of them going out and often you can grab much bigger space by killing the larger forces' Ruler.
There's another strat I have in mind but I want to try it in a run first, I'll explain what it is if it works.
Isn't the All Hands a bit unrealistic to have as a category considering the odds of getting a Royal and Straight Flush? You'd have to play literally thousands and thousands of hands before you finally got them. idk I think the idea is amusing but pulling it off would require extreme luck or multiple days of playthrough.
The longest run I ever did that I never finished was a Bookworm Adventures speedrun, I was 3 hours into it and then out of nowhere the game crashed. The longest run I ever did that I ever submitted here would be my old Game Dev Tycoon ByeOffice% run which was 1 hour and 6 minutes, though now my current WR is 48 minutes for that category.
Hi, I was running this game and came up with a possibly improved strat to the one used in the WR run. I wasn't able to get it recorded all the way but I hope to do so in the future.
The idea is to start in Yong Ai first and produce a Hex Mark Saddle to get access to a horse immediately which can then be used to speed up the battles. I also liked getting the Light Orb but I think it'd be faster to not worry about it.
Rather than playing as Lu Bu I instead used a Maxed Out Edit Officer with the Rapier since it's Musou Attack is ridiculously overpowered against enemy officers. Perhaps this is the way to go in the future?
Also I understand why having more officers is good, but surely it'd be faster to just have 1 and simply Station them wherever you need them to be so you don't have to worry about the others? During my run I had 3 Officers and started with 0 Lietenants.
The PB I got was 1hr, 2mins and 36 seconds, mostly due to menuing mistakes and I also missed a couple of bases during one or two of the battles I was in.
I'm not saying this is best, I'm just putting it out there as a possible improvement.
Edit: Did another run with only 1 Officer and got a final time of 54:11. Looking back however I think having at least 2 officers is useful since if you end up missing a base you can order the other one to grab it for you (provided it's still neutral of course)
Go for it! I'm still setting up categories at the moment but if you want to do an IL run for example then you can. Good luck on finding that disc!
Would anyone be interested in a Monopoly Speedrun Discord? If so I'll make one
Hey, I have some interest in running the GT games but one thing I don't understand is running each race out of order. For example on Sough's Any% WR they go straight from the Sunday Cup to Stars & Stripes Grand Championship. Surely it would be slightly faster to go straight from Sunday Cup to the Clubman Cup since it's right next to it, right? I don't recall there being any car restrictions on it.
Enlighten me so I don't remain ignorant.
Good point, I did actually do a "Topic%" run a while back. The thing is with that run is that it felt a lot less reliant on RNG compared to other runs (of course it's still part of the run, this is Game Dev Tycoon we're talking about). I'll happily share the run though there wasn't much commentary while I was actually doing it and it's super unoptimized:
I haven't done 100% yet but it seems like it would be the same thing.
Demo% I've also technically done a run for before but I wasn't recording it, but I don't mind doing redoing it and showing it off as well.
iirc Snakeob was looking into doing an All Achievement run, but then he ran into the roadblock of getting the 11/10 achievement, after speaking to him about the other categories he seemed to show some interest in doing them as well, so I don't feel like at least most of these suggestions would be empty.
As I've stated in a previous forum post I have some ideas for other categories that could be added, though I didn't go into detail on what they were. Feel free to consider these or not. Any feedback is appreciated.
Topic% - Research all topics as quickly as possible. Demo% - Get to the end of the Demo as quickly as possible. Console% - Release a console as quickly as possible. 100% - Unlock/research everything as quickly as possible. Achievement% - Get all achievements as quickly as possible (the only tricky thing being the 11/10 one as it's extremely hard to obtain)
I also feel like there should be a leaderboard for Pirate Mode as well as it adds difficulty but also new things that you need to consider, such as reserching DRM and giving away an amount of your company for additional cash.
Cheers!
