Trying to locate some for Linux (specifically running Linux Mint)
In short, I appreciate both of those on Windows, but as I'm stepping away from Windows ideally for now, I want to figure out alternatives to those two.
They do run on Linux, but Global Hotkeys don't seem to operate properly for either.
Self-explanatory. The website is rapidly growing as a decently successful alternative to Twitter, and feels appropriate to have alongside the other options. Also consider that SRC currently has only 11 - so having a 12th option would fill out the screen in a nice, pleasant 3x4 grid.
Under the Site Bans category of SR.C, the following is individually noted: "You are permitted to have exactly one account on the site. Alternate accounts will be banned."
I've seen a particular user [Who I will not name publicly here] delete their account several times in the past, and then proceed to make a brand new SR.C account, followed by purging all of their current videos on their channel. I've attempted to speak with them through SR.C messaging them about this, but due to how quickly they delete their account(s), I cannot do so.
Would that be considered violating this rule?
This strategy absolutely should be Banned from the Run, or separated to another category (Along side Credits Warp). This strategy skips the following in Arcade Mode:
- Megaman's Respawn Animation
- Players Respawn Animation
- Player vs Enemy Scene
- Stage Completed Scene
- The Three Second Startup Timer All of these skipped saves over Half of the runs time, and with this alone, would cause Sub 2, or even Sub 1 to be free.
I'm interested in seeing a All Unlockables/100% Category added to SSL.
My run timing started on hitting Enter on the Title Screen, and ended on the last Stage Unlocked Message.
If this were to become a Speedrun, I would recommend separating 100% Singleplayer and Co-op to Two Separate Categories, as Unlocking ClownTown would be significantly faster in Coop than Singleplayer, and otherwise making the run require Multiplayer to be viable.
If you start a New Super Smash Land File, and then attempt to Kirbyside on Arcade Mode with One Stock Left, this triggers the Air-Ride Unlock Message. Then, you'll want to let the game close the message on its own, this results in the game playing the credits.
Via collecting a SMG and receiving Two or More SMG Grenades prior to the Finale, you can use them to launch yourself over the barrier. If the strategy was used in a speedrun, it could save about 5-8 Seconds, but it would be risky to pull off, as you would need to sacrifice some health.
The SMG can be found during the Zombie Section.
A box of SMG Grenades can be found on the next map, in the same room where you lose your Flashlight.
The following strategy could save ~40 Seconds. Via shooting at the wall while still in the room, and bouncing the Energy Balls into the holes, you can get the extra Three Energy Balls prior to the Hunter Fights, while completing the puzzle. These are the approximate positions you'll need to shoot at:
- First Shot, shoot at the Red Dot
- Second Shot, shoot slightly above the sign.
- Third Shot, shoot in a position where the Quick Save message is slightly above the sign. As for the Hunter Fights:
- In the First Fight, you'll need a High Pitch Death Sound, or the battle will Softlock.
- In the Second Fight, you cannot kill him prior to him touching the floor, or the battle will also Softlock.
The following video showcases a strategy that would allow the player to skip the Crowbar. Although this strat appears to be slower than the current Any% WR Method, it could open up the possibility of a Explosives only, or even a RPG only Run.
While I was doing my first run (Without a Recording) this happened. For this run I wasn't recording until I got up to this point, so I wasn't able to show how to actually do this odd glitch.
I've noticed that it's allowed to pretty much ignore the 2nd Player in 2 Player Mode (I.E. Allowing the player to use 1 Joy Con) and it overall turns 2 Player Mode into a slower 1 Player Mode. For me 2 Player Mode should be changed to 2 categories, a Single Player 2 Player run, and a 2 Player Co-op run; and turn 2 Player Co-op into the main category. What would you think of this?
