i generally only use splits if i really need to keep track of the time (when rng can lead to much time loss and kill runs) but everywhere else i just do runs, and you get a feeling. basically see every run as practise for the next.
so just finish it, exept there are hours to go.
in HOI4 we use subategories with subcategories and as long as you cant disable variables on specific subcategories we will have to use the solution. didnt seem like there was a fix for that in the new mod tools

Be sure to follow those strict rules about emulator.
@Sness i dont play those games this is just what i heard from the outside. Dolphin is basically a TAS tool. which is extremely hard to detect. because of that emulators are banned.
Didnt really read it but variable makes you able to either mark legacy runs or hide them by default. Make a Variable for all categories. if you dont want to hide the runs set no default. if you want to hide legacy runs set the other option as default. you can obviosly make a different tab via subcategory for legacy runs, but i think that would be the worst solution.
@MrSamper99 those 1ms no player runs are generally used to ban unused subcategories which happen when you use subcategories over multiple categories.
i dont really see much from the ads because adblocker, but a player recently had problems submitting and reading rules because of them....
i agree that it is simpler, but managing permissions isnt really the hardest change ever on the site. I just cant imagin people liking it when they have to run to outside help when they want to properly use their forum. Its just another Factor to push the subcommunities to other plattforms. (which is bad for site traffic for the sweet sweet ad money) KEKW
@garsh i dont mean global series moderators. I mean for each series moderators with less power. so basically a new forum moderator role and for series a role which can moderate the forum of it.
@Oxknifer discord isnt sorted at all and a pain to document long term. i way more prefer a more modern forum with better moderation. also doing things over the forum is way more "official" than over the discord.
@garsh i mean less powerful series moderators, basically for the forum and game forums of the series (and maybe theme) no adding games.
i dont think access to game forum moderation is neccesary, and i would prefer seperate forum moderators for series. but for the general forums yes needed. but also a more modern forum system would be nice.
You mean for a game with a inactive moderator? Request Type: "Game and Series Request" Category: "Report inactive Moderator and request to be Moderator"

I took a bit of time sorting and writing down some of the (in my opinion) best request i can remember by lurking the feedback forum regulary.
normally mod applications are handled within the community in the discord and often by appointing trusted and capable members. I think a "application buttom" would just add to spam for moderators. Also if it is needed on site a forum post can be opened.
