It has been proposed that timing should end not at seeing the D-Pad logo after beating the game, but instead on losing control of Otus in the final dream sequence.
If the proposed change goes through, times currently on the board will be altered to accommodate this change.
Yo, I would like to be a moderator on the game GoNNER (http://www.speedrun.com/GoNNER) - the only mod being inactive for over a month with a dead contact link.
Thanks in advance.
I think somebody just made the decision for it to be done like that and it stuck. Maybe the current Any% and 100% should be a new game+ kinda deal? Mike's a damn sight more fun to speedrun with, at least, so that's probably the main proponent for doing it this way.
Ah man, my sr.c notifications are always screwy no matter what I do - so this is damn late but okay.
I don't really see much reason to separate co-op and single player, seeing as pretty much everything's doable with one or two players (and there's already a lot of categories!), unless some weird netcode exploits are found.
If there wouldn't be any more boards added, though, it'd probably have to be restricted to 1 or 2-player because any more gives a distinct advantage, except in Armory Pod. I'm gonna try and ping you guys in case you're still interested.
Not really, you just die and try again in true roguelike fashion. Not being perpendicular to the ranged/charging vegetable enemies is good, getting out of floor 9 ASAP is necessary because the red baals rock your world, and you need to silence djinn fizz' and far darrigs. Also pray that dredmor doesn't one-shot you the moment he sees you. Not a game where you expect to finish a run.
Have not played this game in a while. Pretty much everything that needs be said is in the video's description, but here: http://pastebin.com/iaimMEBx
Totally depends on who you're playing with. And co-ordination. Probably will want to pool all your resources to one player who calls the shots, but it should be good. I doubt any more than 2 players would be good to go on the boards, though, due to starting with more than the base 2 characters.
I did a 6 character max% speedrun once, losing crest one time and the game crashing out on Bullet once. It was a less fun category than I thought it would be, and it was almost entirely due to that damned crest. It was a damned long slog, that's what it was.
All of the runs up right now were done on 1.0.9 - could someone change them all / mod me so I can change it? Board looks awfully lonely, and I'm not even sure if the patch-specific view is conveyed well now that this website's design has gone to shit.
Is there a way to set a default custom filter? Would be good to default to the newest patch when out. And what would the current patch be called?

A pretty big one. More guns, rooms, another boss of indeterminate speed.
Any chance I could be added as a mod for NOT A HERO? Been hanging on an approval for over a month and haven't been able to contact mod. http://www.speedrun.com/run/0y62kn1z
Did not get the Chortlebot one on stream, but I've got an old video with the Shake King thing - I tried my darndest to make a setup for it but there's really nothing obvious. Somehow I got it while looking for a setup first time, but it was another once-off fluke.
(25 secs in)
Just throwing these here as possible timesaves, or in case someone wants to do some sciencing.
So I was playing around with Chortlebot and accidentally clipped through his orbs as they were spinning, getting me stuck between them and the boss, effectively knocking him down in one hit. I sorta got through them in the bottom-right portion. Have not been able to find a setup for it.
There's also a way to ground pound on the Shake King twice as he does a dash, saving time on the second phase and cloud phase. It seems really precise; if you're late it's fine, but if you're early then he gores you. Again, I haven't found a good setup.
All up, though it won't let me take the VT and Purist tabs away from these levels.
Somehow I didn't see this sooner - my thoughts were that that'd be the main point of the Purist tab
