Oregon, USAMain reason is input lag. EMU has a bit of input lag while console is much cleaner. It also just feels better to play on a real console in general.
Noone runs 14 captures because it's insanely hard to pull off. You have to do the infinite nut jump trick 100+ times in a row, and noone wants to do it. It skips the last spark pylon in bowsers.

First of all, you are not supposed to dive. You just throw the hat at the wall and run into it. Second of all, dont change your camera. Just maintain a normal camera, get into the L, hold left and then you should cling to the wall where you can walljump.
honestly just practice the skip. you'll be much better off with that than without doing the skip. if you really dont want to do that though then just get the girder moon after you get to the stairs normally by either using the tank to bust down the arch or just cap dive over.

what does it mean for the timer to stop when the softlock gets activated? the last input is on the warp, so does timing end there?
i think that just using speedrun.com for highscores is the best for reasons many others already said
