I Started Running This Game Last Year (2023)... Got What I Thought For Me Was Decent Time (IGT 57:10/RTA 59:34) On NTSC U PS2 But Never Submitted It (And The PS2 Died Soon After)

Went Back To Grinding For A Better PB This Week On A 90k Jap PS2 And Got a 56:59 IGT.

Here's My Issue... I Had No Deaths All The Way Up Until Madnar Where I Got Crushed By The Roller (I Was Greedy) Which Eventually Cost Me 30 Seconds On My Splits

I Ended Up Finishing The Run +10 Seconds Ahead Of My Old Splits (59:45) But Yet Gained 11 Seconds On IGT (56:59) With A Death (Previous Run Was Deathless I Think)

Any Idea Why?

Interesting Strat But For The Time Save... Totally Not Worth It IMO... If You're Going To Pick Up The Tactical Vest Then You Might As Well Pick Up The Nades In Akro Too... This In Turn Means You'll Have More Nades In Your Inventory When You Buy Them From Mr Douglas Later (This Is Considered As Safety Marathon Strats)... Also As A Side Note... If You Do This And Go To Ayas Trunk... Wait Till You 1st Get To Dryfield And Go The Trunk Then To Pick Up The Belt + Nades... Thats Way Much Faster Then Waiting For Pierce To Stop Moving.

1 question which I want to ask is and I've been wanting to ask this for months... when Sena did his original 1:13 run, why was it not questioned at the time and verified as a 'legit' run... considering there was a 6 minute jump between Setyans 1:19 and Senas 1:13... why has it taken all this time for it to now be an issue? And as a pre cursor, many of us in the community think and agree with Sena that the moderation of this game sucks and it has done for a long time... and there is only 1 mod so don't give us the BS that there are other discussions with 'Mods'

Im gonna go out on a limb and say this... imo Duckstation never should have been added as a category...

What with constant updates (still) with duckstation after 2-3ish years there is never going to be an agreement over which 'Settings' or 'Updates' or 'Versions' of Duckstation to use to run the game.

Isn't the PSP store closed now which in essence now makes 'grinding' a world record impossible on PSP/PSTV for anyone who was not able to download a digital copy beforehand? (Mainly the European region)

How is that now fair on the newer runners/future runners?

Look At The Consoles And How They're Separated

Everyone Has A Chance To Get A World Record Or A Good Time On Their Respected Console/Emu

This Saves Soy Boys Like Me Getting Salty

In The Parasite Eve 2 Community The Duckstation Emulator World Record Is Currently Slower Then The PS2 World Record

I've Personally Tested Duckstation (Not Yet On This Game) But On Tenchu, Parasite Eve 2 And I Think Apocalypse

And Found That The Emu Was Slower
