When the level ends, the player knows exactly how much time was spent playing the level. However, things get tricky when any time within the range of x.0xx appears. The game displays the time incorrectly. When the time is, for example, 6.071, the game will display it as "6.71", which the runner can assume to be 6.710. Except it's not. Proof: Here's the video I recorded that demonstrates it perfectly. I had this suspicion ever since I started doing level runs for this game, but did not have any hard evidence to support it. If you use any frame-by-frame tools (or just spamming pause), you'll see how the timer jumps from 9.9 to all the way to 10.8 in just a few frames. This is obviously impossible. The time is - however - correctly displayed in the level selection screen, as seen in the following screenshot. Note that the game rounds the time for some reason. Read rules for this category. "At least 80% of your video has to be Minesweeper gameplay." That's all you need to get your run verified. No restrictions. Only you may or may not stop the timer. Timer is not required either.

Game type request: Level Packs. Existing Level Packs on src are usually tagged as "ROM Hack" or "Map/Server", which isn't what they are. Level Pack should be added as a game type.

Probably the best solution to this is to wait for any site staff to post a reply. Everything that could be said was already said, and we're only on the second page of the forum thread. Nice to know Minecraft series moderators can resolve the issue by themselves, but abuse potential still stands and site staff really should do something about it.

First of all, just because it's popular or many people want to speedrun it, it doesn't mean the game should be features on the site. Second, if there is nothing wrong with it, then why wouldn't we trash the entire site with 10 second flash games! If series mods can do it, why don't we do the same thing! Screw the game submission rules! Anarchy! Anarchy! Third, Minecraft Classic is only in the top because of how accessable and popular it is. Most of runners just want a run on the leaderboard - nothing else. It would never be added by the site staff. Same happened with Google Minesweeper, which was one of the most popular games on the site at some point. "it does violate the quick games rule but people are willing to speedrun it and spend time on the game." ah so let's add Among Us then. The PvP related murder mystery game that is getting requested all the time. People want to speedrun it, so site staff just has to add it, right? No, the rules are rules. Game submission guidelines HAVE TO apply to all games getting added on the website. By the site staff or not. At this point I just wait for anyone from staff team to post a reply to this thread. There is clearly a problem in Minecraft series moderation team. They can keep adding complete garbage to the site with nothing to worry about. Trash Minecraft fangame? Hell yes we'll add that! Why wouldn't we? It's a Minecraft series after all! And this is clearly about Minecraft! Site staff, please do something. Talk to series mods, remove the garbage leaderboards that were added not long ago, or even demote those who are willing to abuse their powers.

No games cause harm, but it doesn't mean all of them should be added. Site staff does not approve small trash 10 second games here, why would series mods be allowed to add those?

@KaiWasTaken so series mods can add even more trash fangames? This is not a solution. These games do not deserve a leaderboard on this site. The solution would be to demote the one who added all of these and remove already existing trash leaderboards.

I've noticed some of the Minecraft series moderators overuse their abilities to add trash fan Minecraft games to the site in large numbers. Not going to call out names but there is clearly a problem. This is the latest added section of All Games as of now: First, Minecraft series mods started adding all of the Editions of the game - which is fully understandable. The series should be complete. Then it got weird with the addition of Minecraft 4K (4kb version of Minecraft which probably wouldn't be added even in the earliest days of the site) and Minicraft (which was later removed from the Minecraft series). What Minecraft series was before is mostly Minecraft maps and servers. Why can Minecraft series mods freely add as much fan games as they want - no quality control whatsoever. When maps/servers were getting added by the series mods it at least had some sort of quality control. Now mods add whatever they want to the site, any Minecraft clone, anything.

1. How exactly is it "Minecraft" series? These are fan games!
2. I could probably make a trash flash Minecraft clone that takes 40 seconds to beat, request it, and it would be added by the mods.
3. The system should be changed at least somewhat. I know site staff knows how important it is not to give too much power to the series moderators, as it is extremely easy to abuse. Why aren't series moderators' added games... you know... checked by site staff? From what it seems right now, everything added by the series mods stay forever on the site, even if the game was removed from the series after (relates to Minicraft). Quality control for site staff added games is real. Quality control for series moderators' added games is not.
