Reload autosave strat after Pawnee ctOS teleports you to land and is faster than docking the boat. The only major concern is that reloading autosaves can cause a bug in which Aiden can't move:

You don't have to go to the center first to access the underground camera. It is possible to jump to the right side with the bike, but you have to go back to the entrance to get the autosave to prevent a softlock, causing you to lose time. The new strat saves about 15 seconds as shown by this comparison.

You can hack cameras through the door by using some weird camera manipulation. This camera strat is tricky so I show my reference here on the left. There is a time save of about 10 seconds if you do the new strat well. You have to wait until the autosave before you complete a hack on someone (otherwise you have to hack an extra person), but you can profile everyone first.

He posted this strat also, but I found it to be inconsistent/unreliable. The theory is that scaring T-bone (by doing something like crashing into objects/people behind the bar) will cause him to turn around to check what's happening.

A different way of getting the firetruck skip was found. This was also posted in the strats thread and is very consistent:

We finally figured out a way to do the firetruck skip on this mission. The explosion from the canister will interrupt Aiden's animation, allowing you to gain control of him much earlier. If you blow up the fence outside, you will have a clear line of sight to shoot the fixer before the firetruck cutscene starts. This skips the entire chase and is much easier than the old strat. The only problem is the canister getting blown up before the download finishes, but you can reload the autosave to respawn it.

The WD2 game folder is not Epic Games\Watchdogs2. It's probably in Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watchdogs2 because the actual game files are downloaded from Uplay.

I don't think that is the game folder. Those are not the game files. I have the game on Steam, and it's in Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Watch_Dogs2. You would probably have the game folder somewhere in Program Files or something like that (depending on where you installed the game). The folder in Documents\My Games does not contain the game files that I'm talking about.

How does it not have it? It's the folder with the common.dat/common.fat/patch.dat/patch.fat files

From the rules: Start at 8:22 (minutes: seconds) if you are using the intro mission cutscene skip mod.

Instructions: You have to be on PC obviously to use it. Download the patch3.dat and patch3.fat. Move them over to the game folder: Watch_Dogs2/data_win64 and you should be able to skip the cutscenes in the intro mission by pressing the button.

The category doesn't have to be on the leaderboard for people to do runs of it, but I will consider adding it if runs are done first.

I'm only gonna consider adding meme categories if enough people do them. This category doesn't have to be on the leaderboards for someone to run it.

If you do a full game run, make sure you get enough money to buy the quadcopter. The best upgrade in this game is the mass comm disruption. I recommend practicing missions by restarting missions/reloading checkpoints to redo things.

The autosave at the start skips most of the driving. There is no bike spawn there after you teleport to the entrance, so you have to go on foot inside. More autosaves can be used inside to save more time because we don't have to worry about keeping a bike. This only saves a few seconds in total because we don't have a bike inside the mission area.

I introduced this new strat in my first sub 3:20 run. After Planting a Bug (A2M14), fast travel back to the bunker. Do dialogue skips during the Bedbug call and then use the Car on Demand app to spawn a sportsbike. Park this bike a safe distance away from the entrance so that it doesn't despawn.

Use this bike to drive to Way off the Grid mission location and then reload autosave. This will skip the Clara/Aiden dialogue. Then kill the fixers there as quickly as possible (Let the first fixer detect you so that the enemies will go towards you). The dialogue skip can still be done with the IED, but it's risky. This saves 15-20 seconds over the old strats.

Some more stuff here that can help me get sub 3:20 any% in this game:

I timed this section to be 18 seconds faster than what I did in the 3:21:51 run. Using the car on demand app to spawn the bike seems worth it because of how much driving there is. You can also use cameras at the Brandon Docks ctOS to do that mission slightly faster.

This is a strat comparison of the Racine skip strats used during A2M2/Breakable Things. Left is the new one used by K1ng_Ransom. Doing it perfectly by pushing the truck into the water can save a few seconds. Right is the old one with the sniper. You can also skip obtaining the sniper rifle during Thanks for the Tip, saving even more time.

New Cash Run During Act 1 There is no video of this. You can create a cash run while driving to Hacking Contract in Act 1. This can be used to teleport to A1M9 (Dressed in Peels) after A1M8 (Wrench in the Works) and can save a few seconds.

This glitch was replicated by me and fiku a few months ago:

I still don't know exactly what causes the fixer(s) to not get inside the firetruck. My best guess is that it has something to do with how the enemies are killed prior to the firetruck cutscene. It could be both RNG and timing related because the fixers don't always spawn in the same spot.

This new cash run challenge warp skips a lot of driving and can save at least 20 seconds in the run. My execution can also be better here on the left. And my WR run was not optimal there at the graveyard due to the unlucky white screen bug. The only issue is RNG with the bike spawns after fast traveling to the area next to Not the Pizza Guy, so it is possible to get better/worse RNG than what is shown. There is also potential to use this cash run later in the run.

No, it's only required if you want to do a specific glitch during Not a Job for Tyrone.

After a few years, I updated the patch files. You also have to replace some dll files in the bin folder to complete the full downgrade. Adding those old v.1.04.497 dll files, along with the patch.dat and patch.fat, should make the main menu say v1.04.497. Bad Blood will also disappear from the main menu if you have it installed.

You can easily go back to the current version of the game by replacing those same files with the updated ones, so just make sure to back them up if you don't want to verify your game files.
