no, unfortunately, you can't use it because it's a mod. U can always just download livesplit and time your runs through there. The link is on the resources page
Just an FYI, VRplayK is Russian and isn't very well versed in English so he was using google translate at that time. Basically, if we're gonna be honest, it's impossible for someone to just come out of nowhere without any knowledge of speedrunning to take a top spot. However, luck does reside in rsg runs, but you're bound to come under scrutiny if you get an insanely fast time out of nowhere. Obviously, if your run is legitimate, then you should not worry about anything as long as you follow all submission rules. With that being said, follow what Antoine said
@Saori unfortunately that's incorrect, the position in the portal does matter. You may use this video as reference https://www.speedrun.com/mc/guide/t8jf3. It's an outdated guide, but it proves my point. by standing in a different position, you spawn in a completely different area. You're free to ask any other ssg runner to confirm this as well

@benchbotch I think I mentioned this already, but for those who are unable to play Minecraft is probably because of OBS. Many computers are not suited for recording + playing at the same time, and so things like optifine or sodium will be unable to help that. Of course, some can, but again, if you're really up to the point where you HAVE to use optifine or sodium, just don't record gameplay using OBS and use an external camera

@Doggo15 and @Astronomiez AMD is a company... not a model. You can't say AMD is worse than an i3 because i3 is a specific model while AMD is just a company name. Please know what you're talking about before you say it. :p
In that case, as mentioned in my post, you will still not have a cpu that is worse than what is mentioned. There is technically still no excuse for players not to be able to run Minecraft.
@Shmalex while Saori may be overexaggerating and for that matter not providing reliable information, they have a point. Just look at the system requirements for Minecraft and you will see.

To be honest, you literally could not get worse than what is mentioned above. If you really have a "bad" pc, it's probably already VERY old and it's time to get a new one.
In conclusion, you don't even need a good or MEDIOCRE pc to play Minecraft, you're perfectly fine with a potato pc and you'll still be able to play normally as shown in the system requirements.
edit: if u want to record gameplay using OBS or something, forget about it. Use an external video camera (this is perfectly viable), and just don't use optifine.
@Argent0fArtifice The post above is wrong, yes nether portal position matters. In the top ssg runs, you will notice that the runners stand as close to the far side of the portal when they light it up and that's how u get the portal to spawn inside the stronghold
So ur questions were asking the wrong thing, but as long as u build the nether portal in the right x and y, and do what is mentioned above, you will spawn inside the stronghold
It's been a known strategy called pirate starts and it was popularized by a fellow named T_Wagz. His 26:xx run has not been verified yet or idk, but I'd keep an eye out on it if I were you. It is definitely a nice strategy to learn.

First of all @Cubing_Cinematics I do gotta disagree with you, mine chunk% is by far the best category on the Minecraft catex rn for the following reasons. Mine chunk is a category that requires focus, determination and skill.
The reason for focus is that these runs can take as long as an hour and therefore the player is required to stay focused on the run for a long period of time. Not only that, but since the process is repetitive, more often than not, the player will lose track of what they are doing and become unfocused. Experienced players in this category must learn how to play against this and make their run better than the last. The same goes for determination.
The skill aspect of mine chunk is also extremely high. The strategy that is put forward into this is very difficult to master. I mentioned earlier that the run may take more than an hour to complete, but there are multiple strategies already in the works to combat the lengthy process of mining. One of these strategies is using bed explosions in the nether, which can be extremely quick depending on how skillful the player is. The requirements of using this strategy is also difficult since it requires the player to have good movement in the nether as well as perfect bed placement. This is where the knowledge of the catex comes to play. Not to mention, in the nether, there are random lava holes that a player may fall into. With that being said, the player must learn how to react against these sudden developments and avoid dying. The preparation for mine chunk is also a lengthy process and in fact, it generally follows the same start as a pre 1.9 speedrun would. Therefore it also applies non-catex knowledge.
With that being said, I urge you to take that back now as well as forget what I said bc it was a joke.
To respond to this thread, mods have mentioned previously that they will not accept a new category that is based on the same principle as another category (is what I believed until they added infinite snapshot OMEGALUL), namely any%. Also, movement-less is extremely rng based. In case you are wondering, there is also already a TAS made by Circuit that showcases this.
