The timer most runners use is listed here under "Resources". It's a google spreadsheet that you put the times into.

Nestopia is going to be the best emulator for this game. Nestopia UE is the same thing and isn't a virus, assuming you get it from the official page

You can always do individual fight speedruns or just do a full game run! Nobody cares how good/slow you are and you'll improve quickly. I would also suggest joining the discord server if you have other questions as people are more active on there.

Exactly what kthree said. The community is fairly small compared to one's you mentioned like alttp and sm and there are not a ton of active mods, and those that are may not be able to look into things like that at the moment. They probably aren't intentionally ignoring you either, not everything is seen by everybody. If it's something you think is important or passionate about I'd encourage you to bring it up somewhere like the discord again! In my experience this community tries to be as helpful as possible.

Tyson times are assumed to be .00 as the decimal isn't usually shown. It can only be seen if you beat him using the AWC password, or if you get a 2:05 or better it is framecounted for the leaderboard.

You can only run on the official 3ds virtual console release as I don't think there are any approved NES emulators you can put on the 3ds

I believe that this game's leader board needs to be updated to accommodate the different difficulties. Only having any% and 100% means only the easiest difficulty would be run.

I downloaded the game from somewhere else and now it runs better on dosbox. Not sure what the problem was before but thanks!

Which version is the fastest? I noticed in your new video the cube moves a lot faster than any version I can find online, or even the downloaded game in Dosbox. I literally can't even begin to compete with you as the fastest I can possibly do on any version so far is around 23 seconds.

Yeah I changed the rules to include the timing change. Any runs submitted from now on should be started after file name and character customization is done.

I would allow it because that is the timing for the ds version. But I don't run wii.

I am unsure as to why these runs are being verified as well. The last two world records including mine have no proof. It is the moderators job to reject them. However there is no rule stating a video is needed as there is in more popular games. We just have to hope the community is honest. If a time seems ridiculous we can look into it further.
