SupporterI'm down, but since I'm going to have to layout the ruleset, I want to be able to understand how exactly it works. Does it basically involve altering the files of the game, and how does registration play into it?
Outside that, a subcat seems appropriate enough to me. Very glad there is a lot of interest growing around the game. Looking forward to someone doing all 50 Puzzle levels. ;]
Love it so far. Makes it easier to coordinate things with other mods without having the check or be a part of 30+ discords.
I've updated the categories accordingly as a quick fix. If some other issue comes up, it can be addressed then.
Hey Nate. Any% would include any single player time (whether CPU is involved or note.) CPU% would include any single player time when 2 CPU's are present. Regarding, one player using 3 contestants would be an Any% run, unless more than one player is involved, in which case, I would need to make a Co-op run for the board.
Apologies for the delay on verifying your latest runs. They were done on the WOF "New Third Edition", which is a separate game from the original. My research leads me to believe this is the scenario:
Wheel of Fortune (1987) for DOS, C64, and Apple ][ Wheel of Fortune: New 2nd Edition (1988) for DOS, C64, and Apple ][ Wheel of Fortune: New 3rd Edition (1988) for DOS, C64, and Apple ][
(There's also a Junior, Golden, and Family edition)
The issue I'm having is there appears to be another 2 games called 2nd and 3rd edition.
I haven't accepted your run yet, because I haven't figured out how yet to best go about taking into account all these games and whether different game pages are warranted, or I need to figure out how to fit all the various versions of this game on a single page. Hope to get it figured out soon, and then I can get your run to the right place.
I've created a new page and added you as Moderator. You'll have to figure out all the specifics of the game (name [since there is likely more than one Risk for Mobile, etc., release date, and the remaining details, categories, rules, etc.)
Once you've get the general gist of it, I'll make you supermod and remove myself.
It'll try to get in contact with the other moderator to look at it, but I do not why it should be an issue. So, I'll try to get that up in next few days. There is some inconsistency regarding categories across the four releases of this game due to different people setting up different boards at time.
I will note though, that to complete a run of 3 Ball entails completely all three rounds of the game, not just the first round.
Click on the "Games" Tab at the top of the site. Select "All Games" and wait for it to load. Click on the arrow pointing down button next to "Sort by active players" and you will find thousands upon thousands of games that haven't been run recently.
Sounds good to me. Do a run and upload it and I'll make a 100% category.
Hmm, oversight on my part. 3-ball consists of three rounds. Will fix here shortly and update rules to correct reflect this. Apologies and thanks for pointing it out.
Tags are just information pieces to help those searching for a game by genre, or by developer and/or publisher.

Seems like what you would do is a.) pick a game b.) organize a tournament c.) put up a prize via using entry-fees (unlikely to succeed) or through advertising in order to attract participants d.) stream said event e.) profit.

I've done so due to some increased interest in the series. There are a lot of different ports and versions of this game in existence, and accurate information pertaining to these different versions is incredibly sparse online. I'm hoping that by adding this discord, it will help add consistency to the games in this series, address issues and concerns as they may arise, and get information for those curious.
I realize these games aren't very popular among speedrunners, so I don't currently expect a huge number of people coming in and discussing these runs very seriously; but I needed something for adding games to the series and getting the most accurate information for the games as needed.
