from what I understand that is included due to the inclusion of the All-Stars categories (under misc), which is a game for the SNES
I believe the score just changes the likelihood of lag frame and isn't a definitive indicator
My current goal is to get WR on SMB1 Pacifist and then finally begin any% runs
Category Name : All warps Rules: Take all the warps in the game (not including minus world and world 5 only has to be once). World select is allowed. Game over is not allowed. Timing ends the frame the timer appears after mario exits the seventh and final warp.
I think 455 will be late this year, maybe Nov or Dec. And yeah, I'd say 5th place will be 456 around April
I personally use an x360 controller, and just mapped the right bumper to split, which makes it really convenient even at the beginning of levels like 8-1
when jumping down to the warpzone in 4-2, mario occasionally hits a walljump pixel on the rightmost wall, which often slows him down enough to lose an extra framerule
That AISSON category looks really fun, think I’ll run it even if it doesn’t get accepted
In all honesty, you should probably make sure you can do 8-2 consistently to get the bbg setup, and get the save state from there, before trying the actual bbg
Since 8-4 is a puzzle castle and the sprites in puzzle castles reset when mario goes the wrong way, the piranha probably disappears due to the game thinking you've gone the wrong way and therefore resetting the sprite.
Yeah fpg by itself only saves 10 frames iirc, not enough to push you to the next framerule in 8-1
Just outta curiosity, does anyone know how 370 can lose the framerule but 369 can save it?
In Pacifist Warpless, since Bowsers 1-7 are going to die no matter what, can you kill them with a Fire Flower or do they have to die by the axe grab?
There already is a category like that, called Glitchless.
Is the SMAS Mario 1 version allowed for these runs or does it have to be the original Mario 1?
